When Korjus became a zombie, Nokirus, who was working on the substance that caused him to change, panicked and attacked him with a machete. He stuck it through the roof of his head, missing his brain.
It's now lodged in the roof of his mouth poking out the top of his head.
(The machete being there is a reference to the film that sort-of inspired Korjus called "Zombie shark" where a shark gets a machete lodged in it's dead like a macabre Unicorn, I thought it was funny and included it on him.)

Korjus is still sentient, but due to the zombification his brain takes longer to do things. So while not obvious in this he may have been standing at the doorway for nearly a minute before speaking.
He won't attack or eat anyone but sometimes if he zones out he'll start chewing on the nearest thing regardless of what it is.
