We went creek hopping today and as we were heading back to the car from an oncoming thunderstorm we saw this little guy on the river bank. I think he fell from the cliffside and wasn't able to get back where he came from. The water in this area was deep and fast moving so he wasn't probably afraid to cross. We heard his mom making a lot of noise not far away and he was repeating her sounds back.

I figured maybe she would come get him if we went away so we walked upstream away from him. It began to rain hard and the thunder was booming so we went back to check if she had gotten him but unfortunately she had not so we took a book bag we had brought for rock collecting and helped him back to the other side of the creek where he padded off into the direction of where his mom was chittering........today was a good day!
