Oh oh! I remember this! I learned this in photography class. It was a...uh...cultural artistic thing. Like an unwritten rule instilled by society where things start downcast-left-negative, end going up-right-positive. Like how everybody's facing downward and left, but looking upward and right. Wish I could remember what it was called.
