When I heard the news about Furp, I had to put this together, to remember him for who he was and what he meant to the many furries he befriended, helped, hung out with, and partied with. We'll miss you dearly, good friend.

Yes he was. Too great are the words to describe what he meant to the friends and furs of the fandom. I can never say enough how much of a friend I found in him during any of the fur cons I've been to, and I'm very glad to see how his association, concerns, and hard work within and outside the furry fandom helped to become an inspiration to us all. Thanks for your comment. *hugs*
He helped me out with a minor medical crisis at FC06 - I recall him fondly as a much clearer head than mine or any other assembled. It's a shame he went so early, but at least it was on a motorbike - I don't think I've ever known any motorcycle enthusiast to be happier then when on a bike.
I've often heard of the vigil a motorcyclist holds with the road and the machine. I just hope that the drunken Marine that took his life gets a lot more than just a slap on the wrist. That drunk driver knew nothing about the type of person he took out of this world, and that's one thing that really saddens me. Thanks for your comment. *hugs*
A great guy indeed. And what a movie to watch together, too. I recall going to see that movie in the theater with Babs Bunny and Ostrich out here in Columbus, and we found it to be a great delight and ray of sunshine on our overcast day. Furp was definitely the type that offered heart and home-warming tidings to all, which makes his legacy shine on in the light of goodness and graciousness. Thanks for your comment. *hugs*
You may want to post this in http://community.livejournal.com/remember_furp. I am sure his parents would be very pleased to see it.
Aww, birds of a feather would have certainly flocked well together if you had met him. He's the type of guy that was a good friend to anyone and everyone. Not one single person I ever knew said anything bad about him--everyone had nothing but great things to say about him. You would have really liked him too.
Yeah, it's definitely something that will keep happening to the people we care about, sad to say. Already lost both of my parents recently, plus a few other colleagues and friends along the way. When a loss happens, it's never an easy experience without going through the feeling of emptiness deep inside.
You too would have loved to have met him. If there were ever an ear to lend, he'd lend it. If there were ever a wound to mend, he'd mend it. If there were ever a tear in the house, he was there to listen and to offer his best advice. Furp was more than a furry, more than a friend. He was a true asset to the fandom as a medic, a gentle ear, a word of wisdom, and the light of reason and truth that is needed in everyone's lives. Even in this late hour, I still think of the times Furp spent at fur cons everywhere, and the many friends he's made and the many hands of help he's been. in most cases, people come and go, but only a small few leave as much of an impact when they're truly gone. Based on what he's done and the many times he's offered aid to those in unspeakable pain, Furp is one of those small few and shall always be remembered as such. Although people like him are truly needed down here on Earth, people like that are also needed in the immortal realm of the afterlife as well, and I'm sure that if he hasn't found his peaceful place, he sure found it now. Thanks for your comment. *hugs tight*
