"It's one thing to be devoted to your belief, becoming a zealot is something entirely different."
A portrait hung within the halls of the Vagabond Knights, among those who had served and lead their ranks until they could no longer serve. Among them, the oddest sight (albiet, many were of strangeness, Ogres and Iksar among them), a Ratonga standing proud, shield damaged through years of use but never once discarded, xenogite armor dinged and scratched through countless fights yet still intact and polished into the muddy gold to reflect him. Behind him hung the banner of the Vagabond Knights, the golden sun upon their backs, relfecting the way to a better life, a better tomorrow.
He has been called so much in his life. Friend, liberator, vagabond, Captain, Knight, Paladin, Ratonga.
But to all who knew him, he was merely known as Telis.
An amazing piece of work by
Nomax to capture and preserve a piece of personal gaming history for me. Telis was by far one of my favorites, a character storied and developed over 10 years of gameplay, but through written RP and story. Now retired and his story fully come to a close, retiring in a quiet life, he defied all expectations from being a hopeful no one in ramshackle plate armor and a pigsticker, to a fully trained paladin, to an honored knight of the Ratonga, to at last a hero to hid guild and his home city.
Nomax, thank you again.
