When it came to Buyou, life wasn't easy, it was harder still to be accepted in society when he was born, raised, and pulled away from it. Yet among those smiles and pitying glances, there was one who gave him a different kind of glance. A rat from the street, literally born within the alleys, raised a theif, abandoned and betrayed, however, he had turned his back on it all, try to make some semblance of normalicy in his life. Much like the youthful red panda, he wasn't just someone who understood, he was someone who had been there. He became more than a friend, more than someone to confide in, he was a father, a father he never had.

And yet, despite so many strange events, moments that tore the bare truth of who they were to the world, there were moments just like these. Cold air brushed at their fur, bundled up as they sat in the cold, away from the people, just to take a moment to breathe. The scent of warm cocoa filling their senses, provided by the Rat's baker friend, they took the time to just chat and relax, letting that odd feeling in Buyou rise, a refreshing sense of childhood that still lingered in him. It was moments like these they appreciated most.

A great piece done by  Amber-Aria of two characters we had been doing a story over. Life after the chaos, Chances an ex-theif, Buyou a troubled youth with a forced smile. An alternative to their initial stories, it had become more an adventure just to be 'normal' in society again.
