You can watch these and other water-bombers do practice runs on lakes around here. They're so neat to watch.

It must be so cool... I'm less (or at least, it's a question of relativity) lucky on this point, I'm living in a region were forest fires (and even forest themselves) are rare so I never see them around my home but still that I remember that I saw once two of them flying over me at around 50m or 100m as they were engaged in a big forest fire in a region nearly entirely covered of pine forests.

I remember one time when the town across the lake was evacuated because the fire got so close, the water bombers would fly right over my house so low I could see the pilots. I got the chance to have a tour of one of these. It was so neat.

For sure, it must be so great to fly in one of them! And it must really impressive to see those big aircraft passing that low above your head...
