Soo, I updated my fursuit dryer design to make it simpler with fewer pieces, and to make it more compact to fit in a smaller tote. It will fit into a Husky 20 gallon tote from Home Depot when disassembled.
I also added an on/off switch to the grey power box.
Cost to build is approximately $200.
If you would like instructions for building one for yourself, note me.

I'm not sure if it meets the requirements for airline checked baggage. Very doubtful if it meets the weight restrictions. My intent was to have it for drying after washing and to use at cons that I drive to.
Oooh. I'd like to see that! It sounds very portable!

Posted a couple pictures of the fursuit dryer I took to BLFC2016, It work great, a couple hours after suiting and GRNdragon was dry and ready to go again.
Might change the 120v fan out to a 12v high volume one to avoid the possibility of electric shock

I've not had anything actually sucked into the fan, but I have had curtains pulled across the opening and blocking airflow. I think securing a piece of screen or hardware cloth across the inlet would be a good idea. I was also thinking of putting an inlet cone on it to increase air volume, but then everything wouldn't fit in the tote bin I use.
