A few months ago, a friend was considering making knit tails and selling them, and so was trying out different patterns. As a result, she had some tails to give away. One of them was a stubby little dragon-ish thing, which of course appealed to me. That it was pink and white was amusing but not much of a detriment. After some lighthearted discussion, in which it was mentioned it could almost be Xodiac's tail, except it didn't match the dragote hat she knit me a couple of years back, I agreed that if she knit me a new hat to match the tail I would wear it throughout the next con I attended.

She did, and that con turned out to be Furlandia, which was last weekend. And since I was wearing the pink hat and tail, I decided to build a character off of it. But since it was only the wings and tail, I had only a vague idea what he'd look like. So I went to two different artists - more may be forthcoming - and commissioned them to draw Pinkerton (what I decided his name would be, whatever he actually ended up looking like) based only on the hat and tail.

This is the first of them (the second is here), done by Naldiceas. I don't have a link, sorry. I'm not exactly certain what Pinkerton is, in her eyes. An alien? A mutant goat? Dragon-goat? Maybe a jackalope? If this winds up being his "real" look, I think he'll have been left on someone's doorstep as a baby, and as such nobody's quite sure what he is. Including him.

Update: I've received word that in her eyes Pinkerton is a "dragon jackalope." Now there's an unusual mix!
