Hey noodle what did you do today?
I continued y vacation adventure! Sometime in Kansas Jeep-frand gave the wheel to FPS-frand, and I stayed awake to help him focus on the road. We had loads of discussions about many things like Mars settlement, human nature, and the Avatar/Korra universe. Sometime after crossing into Colorado (which has many run-down looking towns and yards) we stopped at a gas station and I got a soda and then went to the back for sleep.
I woke after about an hour and watched Colorado pass by. So many mountains! o=
We got to our frand's house, and after we unloaded our stuff she took us to a brunch restaurant (Bonjon's, I think?) and I got a French Melt. After eating we strolled through the nearby streets before going to a dank-dispensary. The Dank-dispensary had a weird lay-out: First you go inside a room and give your ID to a desk, and then take a ticket. You then go to a room and wait until your number is called, and from there go to one of two identical rooms where you view products. After selecting your favorite danks, they send the order to the room where you buy it and pick it up.
Because 'rado-frand had a Colorado ID, we got 10% off. I bought a thing of 10 chocolate pieces, which cost like $27 after discount. o:
From there we went up Pike's Peak! We stopped at a beautiful lake about 1/6 of the way up and I bought a gold coin from the gift shop to add to my treasure pile! It commemorated the mountain at 14,110 feet, and I vowed to give it away if I did not make it up to the top. Even though we drove up, the roads were scary and steep and unguarded. Frands recommended I take a piece of chocolate to calm down, so I did. I also traded a piece for one of my frand's gummy bears. :B
Calmmmmmm...Even though at one point someone driving down the mountain was half-way in our lane. >.>
Trees disappeared, and then even the hardiest plants yielded the scenery to snow. Breathing became harder and harder and harder. We crested the top and parked, and holy poop, I was dizzy and having trouble with air. The lower pressure made me feel like I needed to poop, and while on the can I almost passed out! XD
FPS-frand was having similar issues, so we collected ourselves, went outside for a photo, and then got back in the car. Camp-Frand got some sugared pecans and let us eat some and that helped a lot. We descended the mountain and air became easier and easier to get, but by now I had a killer headache from sleeplessness and just wanted to rest. Also I was probably sorta danked, since I got a mad case of giggles in the bathroom we stopped in halfway down. :B
We went back to 'rado-frand's house, and the rest of the group went to a restaurant for food, but I was too dang'd migrainey. I slept for a few hours, and when they returned I woke at 9 and they gave me some left-over putine (was super yum!) and we watched Dead Pool. Then I had a dream about a volcano island where everyone threw their gems into it to melt into a bigger gem. #JustDragonThings.
Busy day!
I hope everyone has an event-filled day! <333
