Mephanlina Stinktress in a roller derby bout. This has to be my 2nd roller derby related art piece. But even i know this sport is not safe from my striped skunk Tomboy pal and her skunky power. talk about a defense. Well ofcourse it does not have anything to do with RollerBlitz, thats a different series.

To be honest i enjoyed roller derby when it was a exciting fast paced full contact sport exhibition entertainment in the 50s through 90s and was popular on tv at the time, where there was men and women that compete in teams of 5 on a railed banked track, vicious blocking,hits,grapples,and high flying tackles, brawls between two skaters, conflicts and feuds centering on couches,skaters,teams, or the entire roller derby league itself that gives you more reason to enjoy alongside the skating. Nowadays, "Modern" Roller derby is not as exciting as it used to be for a number reasons, its no longer Intergender and tends to be a all female sport with its derby dolls as the main stars attraction lacking equality of men and women, its played on a rail-less flat track court rather then a banked track and moves at a urk-worthy slow pace, there are a squad of refs that skate on left side and right side of the tracks they are more of a hindrance and unnecessary, the rules are overly restricted not creating any excitement and pretty much the so-called "full contact " are reduced to pushing and shoving skaters out of the way which is not as exciting or competitive as the sport was in the past. which means "excitement" "entertainment" and even the word "derby" does not even fit for this flat track reincarnation of roller derby at all. and pretty much the closest thing you get to watching classic roller derby is either the Renegade Roller derbies, TXRD, the surving American Roller Skating Derby, and the Japan RollerGames league. no offense to anyone who is a fan of modern roller derby but that is my opinion i wanted to get off my back.
