In remembrance of those who have passed through his life and eventually seen their end, Nihlus calls on the energies of the Shift and prepares to create a dazzling display. After the first flurry of carefully practiced movement, he will summon the spirits who reside there to create a fantastical dance of color and beings, gracing the night with a show all of its own.
This beautiful piece was done by the wonderful cenobitesquid after they offered to do a commission for me on my FlightRising thread. All I requested was a particular style that they used and they created this utterly gorgeous work of art. They chose to go with a vertical piece rather than horizontal, breaking away from what they normally do for header pieces. I must say I am extremely grateful they made this choice and used his primary wing set over the alternative as well as the "feathered" arms instead of the finned or normal. It gives it such a wonderful feel and overall aesthetic that I have always loved in their work, and I am so glad I was finally able to afford commissioning them for this.
You can find their user page over here: http://flightrising.com/main.php?p=.....;amp;id=199107
