Oh, Go Ahead And Touch It II: Nice Headlights, er, Hooters,

Well, give the customers what they want, I always say...
Photographed at the First Annual Hooters Car Show in Fayetteville, AR, circa April 2005 (wherein the "Go Ahead" gag got its start).
She WAS going to pose sitting on the hood, but it started to buckle and she scrambled off again. Ah, well.

one of these days I WILL get around to my Paramount work of Sociological Importance
I call it the "Help Me Date A HOOTERS Girl" Project
so far, I think doing a poll of what the Hooters Girls like in a man would be a good start
I have to hope I have many of those traits, cause if not it'll be a waste of time...
and that's about as far into the planning process as I have gotten.

Heh... Nice story!
I get that same thing when I take my classic to cruise-ins. People have this unstoppable urge to touch my hood for some reason. I think the paint attracts them. As I'm slowly working my way through restoration, I have temporary paint on the front of the car, so I'm able to maintain her look until she gets her final, permanent paint after the rear of the car is replaced. When I got her replacement hood it had surface rust on the top, but when I went to repaint it, I didn't feel like sanding all the rust off for just a temporary paint job so I just primed, painted and clear coated as is (the primer had a stop rust feature so I didn't have to worry about things getting worse). When I was finished, the hood had this funky texture that shimmers in full sunlight like a mill pond and has a cool ripple look in low light. I guess that ripple look is what makes people curious. If people ask, I generally say it's a special paint, but the secret is far simpler - I'm just lazy.
I like this pic and the other one with you putting your horse out of its misery. If it were me, I'd probably want to do the same exact thing.
