Ronno ran into him when he was taking a walk through the woods and saw him.

Ronno gets very exsided when he hears that the king is looking for young colts to be trained to be horse knights
of course Koda being a jerk as he is says that there is noway that the king would ever let a dirty colt like Ronno into the castle.
