I don't upload much because my work schedule doesn't give me a lot of time to finish my pictures (that last barn one took me months to complete!). Because of that, I thought it would be kind of fair to put up some of my works in progress to show you all what I've been up to :).
Here's a quick rundown, starting from the top left corner and going around the image clockwise:
1. Suspended worker
For this one, I was thinking about how hot it would get if you had to work in the sun all day covered in fur and clothing. I also thought a nice ass shot would be fun, so I drew the wolf worker suspended in some type of harness with his bum nicely framed for all the city to see AND without any of that pesky overheating clothing! Going to work on completing this.
2.Wolf maid
I got a thing for maid costumes! Nothing special here, just a wolf maid.
3.Arcanine and scribble
Just an Arcanine going to town on some poor woofer. The bottom dude is supposed to be a specific character, but I haven't had time to sketch him out/in.
4. Detailed wolf lineart
It bothers me how boring my lineart tends to be, so with this one I wanted to try and pack as much in as I could just using white and black tones, and focusing on bringing out texture. It's kind of an experiment since I can't find anything out there close to what I want to accomplish, and I would love it if someone would link me to anything similar!
5. Forest scene
Was going to be a room poster for last year's RF, but I never ended up attending due to finally getting a real god damn job XD. I was going to title it "Eye of the forest", and focus on rendering the image to look like an eye made up of all the smaller details. Would love to finish this someday!
6.World Map
This is going to be a large detailed map of the world my comic is taking place in. right now I'm focusing on placing the mountains, but it's some pretty tough stuff. this is definitely going to take a long time...but I don't have a choice- it needs to be finished eventually.
And that's it! I don't like uploading a lot of unfinished work, but I guess we have a scraps folder for a reason (I'll move it there in a few minutes!).
Everything drawn in Sai and resized in Photoshop CS6.
