How did that go? Also I read some books and they claim black tourmaline is very commonplace here where I live, but I have been looking for them everywhere and never found one; all we have is varieties of quartz, calcite and chalcedony, and some jaspers here and there.
well, I am financially unable to travel anywhere, and like I said, my region is only known for overabundance on generic quartz (milky, brown etc.), calcite and chalcedony, with jasper and black tourmaline being a rare occurence. Everything else is outside, and my only means of getting those specimens would be purchase; but like I said, a lot of these "prospectors" love to slap ridiculous prices for chunks that don't even rival the size of a pinky finger nail.
