The pirate vessel known as the Galactic Jewel is a modified P'h-tauch Class Heavy Destroyer that was built and crewed by Geonosians during the second year of the Clone Wars. A month prior to the issuing of Order 66, the Galactic Jewel, then known as the CIS Dread Acklay VIII, was attacked by Republic forces and left adrift with the crew dead. Some time later, the vessel was found by Dark Jedi/Pirate Darké Wolfé and his crew, who had been operating a smaller vessel at the time. Having been repaired and modified, the Galactic Jewel now serves as Darké Wolfé's flagship for a small, but growing fleet of pirate vessels.

Looking at the Executor series, I'm not aware of any that had a near perfect service record. Probably didn't help their guns weren't ever mounted in a decent pattern.
Was a time I thought Executors were the best Imperial ship, but really the eclipse series is overall a better frontline warship. Though it could do without the super laser had enough turbo laser batteries alone to top anything the New Republic had. Save for the Mediators but that's likely in sizeable numbers.
Unfortunately the true power of most ships in Star Wars is never shown due to the whole good guys must win crap. I.e. the Dark Empire story, while a good read, seriously botched Eclipse I and II, not to mention Clone Sidious unleashing a storm in desperation to kill everyone.
Palpatine was hardly a man of desperation, if anything that singular act denotes psychological instability, possible side effect of his less than perfect Clone forms.
Back on topic, The Executor seen in ROTJ was nerfed to all hell simply for again
Good guys win
I'm like.....da hell is this? And frankly the alliance fleet wasn't firing at her 100% if that were true, the standard star destroyers would've picked em off a few at a time. Plus Mon Calamari vessels weren't really at the time capable of defeating such a behemoth close range. Hence the later Mediator series. If only Lucas would've allowed Imperial victories more often but....eh.

With a good screen (and a good commander for said screen), an Executor would be a tough nut to crack because you'd have to cut your way through her battle group. Given the number of fighters carried by all those ships, I find it hard to believe that pirates would pose much of a threat.
