Another of my F/A-18 Hornet models, this one an F/A-18A in markings of the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels aerobatic squadron. This is actually a reboxing of the Revell/Monogram F/A-18C kit, complete with all the same parts (albeit molded in blue plastic instead of grey, only difference is a separate set of decals & instructions and a different box. Since the Blue Angels didn't operate the F/A-18C at the time I built this kit, I retrofitted it to an F/A-18A by removing some of the antenna bumps on the nose and behind the canopy. On a personal note, I've gotten to see the real Blue Angels in person several times, and found it a truly awesome experience each time.
