Very cool lizard, I'd like to get a Tegu someday. Huge lap lizards if you get one with the right temperament. Don't really have the proper set up or environment to get one now though, so maybe someday.

I have a Yellow Uro. too, unfortunately he was wild caught and after almost three years still isn't used to human interaction. :P I don't know how much fruit Bowser eats on average but fruit should be used sparingly in uro. diets. Dark, leafy greens should be the biggest part of his diet, especially escarole and endive (I find that you can get them at small markets for pretty cheap or just get them in big bunches at your local grocery store). :D Stuff like spinach and kale and collards are good too, but should be used on a bi-weekly basis as they're pretty high in oxalates (in the spinach) and goitrogens (in the kale/collards) which can contribute to MBD. Sorry to go off on a tangent there, I'm excited for you and Bowser to have a wonderful life together! :D

Thanks! I don't feed him fruit too much, I mostly feed him a mix of bird seed, millet, and kale. What kind of leafy greens can I feed him? Anything I can get him at easy places like Walmart?

Stuff like endive, escarole, bok choy, collards, mustard greens, turnip greens, etc. As long as you're feeding/offering leafy greens every day you should be fine. Just try to rotate the kinds of greens you give him every week. Millet and bird seed (and lentils) are a good start but if you see signs of dehydration, stop offering them immediately because breaking down the dry seeds can strain their kidneys. I think Wal-Mart should carry stuff like that, especially bigger Wal-Marts in nicer neighborhoods/areas since they tend to have a larger selection. :)
