A gift for two very good friends of mine that run the sister studio to Kayla's Kritterz...Crafty Vixen! (Sorry if I spelled it wrong again Amber XD)
Daniel and Amber are my cosplaying pals whom I met last year at my first large, local convention. I met Daniel first right after I stepped off stage at the cosplay competition. We got talking as we nervously waited the results, and when his other half joined in, we just really kind of hit it off. I was bummed when we had to part ways, as I had been a fool and didn't give them my contact information. A couple weeks later, they managed to find me when searching for photos from the con and we were reunited! This year, the kind couple were very generous and allowed me and my sister to borrow their hotel room to store our cumbersome cosplay totes, and get suited up in said hotel room. It was very nice to be able to get changed in a more comfortable area then a cramped bathroom stall, not having to worry about your cosplay touching the floor. Gross! LoL
I wanted to make something for them to express my gratitude for their kindness in letting us share the room. That, and I just really like making things for friends LoL it gives me a chance to experiment and try new things at my whim.
These canines...are adorable if I have to say so myself. Each are made of faux fur and super super soft minky. They are fully jointed, allowing not only their limbs to move...but their heads to move and hold poses. Inside their muzzles are rare earth magnets, when you get them close together they give each other a big smooch. Amber, represented as the fox/vixen has a lovely bow where Daniel has a lovely bow tie...represented as the dog. Their bows...are actually Doctor Who fabric as I believe they are fellow Whovians like myself (I know Daniel is at the very least heh!)
I hope you like them guys <3 I'll bring them with me to PopCon this year and give them to you in person. See you in a couple weeks!
