I was trying to make a reflective floor, and something like a jello substance. Needless to say, it didn't work. I was trying to make a believable floor, that's my biggest problem. Something like a high gloss white tile floor.
Well, that's why it's a test. I don't plan on uploading too many of these unless it's decent enough to upload here on FA. Well, I don't have many anyway.
The floor is just a grid, and the pink thing is a randomly crumbled smooth cube.

hmmm
let me show you something.

was this what you were going for on the floor.
use this program for rendering. it will take some learning but its easy to master.
all you need to do is export your models as a .obj and build your scene.
http://www.kerkythea.net/joomla/ind.....down&id=64
for additional materials to use for the rendering
http://www.kerkythea.net/joomla/ind.....elect&id=3
I do advise however that you grab this first.

thats the master manual on how to use the program.

Something like that, but with more gloss, like those hyper-waxed shopping floors you see in stores.
Something kinda like this: http://img.archiexpo.com/images_ae/.....tile-44355.jpg
Funny thing is I had Kerkythea all this time, but for some reason didn't/couldn't use it. I'm gonna give it a go if the memory would hold out, which I;m gonna buy another GB of memory soon, as in now from Ebay.

actually. there is a way without kerkythea. try using the specular option of the material list in the outliner window.
Specular is the system used to show the direction of light and its spot on a shiny surface. so a less shiny surface with a high specular will show a very bright dot. experiment. and try to stay away from yaf-ray. use Pov-Ray for what your going for.

I only have 256MB. By the time I turn on the PC, it's already taking over 280MB of memory, leaving me running on slow page files.
Heh, wish I had one of these: http://helmer.sfe.se/
