I've always been fascinated by these minature games. All the universes seem fun, too - Battletech, Warhammer, etc. But I could never bring myself to spend the ungodly amounts of money I would need to in order to get anywhere. XD

The paint job is well done, and I like the terrain detailing.

You were right, it does look awesome. Makes me want to take up miniature painting if i had the money and time. X3

That is one of the dumbest looking mech's I've seen, no offense to your paint job, just commenting on the actual mech disign. I cannot imagine something like that being able to take much damage... or not fall over from the huge amount of weight it has sitting at the front end of it.

Any paticular reason that this model is designed like that? I can only imagine its designed to be resistant to morter attacks or bombings, something hitting it from above.

It's fast. :o lol and not able to carry very much of a payload.

it's very very light in terms of most mechs. It's only a 35 ton design. So it's very light, and they had to pull a miracle to cram those ER PPC weapons in there. Plus once you're running it can help to have weight in the front so you don't tip over backwards.

:o that is awesome. the painting isn't half bad for not in a long time. but if you'd really wanna pull out detail get a 10/0 size brush and feather about with light colors across the edges.

*nods* I was trying to do that, you can see it on the reverse angle, but sadly a combination of shakey hand and slightly too big a brush resulted in *blegh*. :) But I'll definately look for a 10/0 brush next time, if thats what ya recommend. :)

I would most definitely. I have a small platoon of brushes for my warhammer figurines. 0 which is the biggest of small brushes you can buy. I have 3/0 5/0 10/0. All for different situations 0 is best for general brushing over large areas and the fine details for 10/0. Best of luck with your miniature army!

HECK YES the Adder! Err Puma... I never could understand why it had such a large seemingly unnecessary hold which only seems to make it heavier yet doesn't easily increase it's weight class. My question is: is it being colored to go with a particular theme? Like is this meant to look jade-falconish? It sort-of does. Though it also looks inner-sphere-ish. I know most furs tend to play on the wolf clan, but I've always been a bigger fan of Jade Falcon and ghost bears. When I used to play (way back in the 90s) some people would use awesome miniatures like this and others (my poor-butt included) would have to use little paper standees. I wish i'd gotten my hands on game pieces like this but they were somewhat hard to find in Germany, at least for me at that age. Fantastic coloring work here, especially at that size.

whoah, more nostalgia. I just remembered i once knew a guy who'd regularly use the adder with a sniper configuration. It was quite deadly at a long range. Especially to my poor Marauders on more than one occasion.

^^ Yes, it's painted for Jade Falcon. And I use mine more as more of a sniper. :3 Glad to hear it eats marauders, cause thats what my boyfriend has. x3

I looked up the best anti-marauder builds for it. First is clan config "B" which gives it LB-X Autocannon/5 and a Large Pulse Laser which is great for sniping. B is the most self-defensive because it also carries two ER Medium Lasers.

If lasers aren't your thing, though, there's one that comes equipped with the new Hyper Assault Gauss 20 and 4 anti-personnel Gauss rifles. Your little guy could actually knock a marauder over. (That's config J).

And lastly there's one with two LRM-15s and a Narc beacon so you can even fire over mountaintops and be completely out of your opponents view and pelt him relentlessly. That's Config C and comes with a dinky Medium Pulse Laser in case some infantry or a light tank show up i guess.

You can build your army. I will save the women and children. The Platypi are on their own...

w00t for Adders/Pumas ... if only the actually dissipated any heat lol.
