And so the adventure begins!
Well, it looks as though this is finally it - after a 2-hour flight, at the end of my 2nd year of university, I'm sitting in a flat in a high-class district of Brno, anticipating starting my theoretical and practical training as soon as tomorrow, though thunderstorms are set to roll in for the afternoon, so I'm not too sure on the feasibility of the latter. One definite bonus of studying in Czechia is the presence of a British supermarket chain, and they sell all sorts of good that I'm accustomed to having at home, should I feel a little homesick, while at the same time, there is Czech cuisine abound in this quaint little city, and perhaps more importantly, a seemingly never-ending flow of Starobrno, Budvar, Pilsner, and a whole range of other weird and wonderful brands of beer that I have yet to try.
The target set by the school is for a completion time period of 6 weeks, but I'm aiming, with my prior theoretical and practical knowledge, for 4 weeks, if I set myself wholly to the task, and manage to get all of the flying slots in before anyone else. Those to come after I can prove to the Czech CAA that I can indeed speak English (obviously). And so, I'll persist through the trials and tribulations that they throw in my direction, while attempting to retain a somewhat persistent presence online.
Hope you enjoy!
