Although I often use Melvin as my own avatar, I should point out that Melvin the character does differ from my own viewpoints in some ways. I picture him as an Archie Bunker-style lovable jerk and I really wanted something that would quickly show his surly assholish side. The original punchline was him saying something about not liking women who thought it was important that they should have orgasms, but then I thought it was funnier to think that he just arbitrarily hated sex-positivity because of some dumb catch-phrase he heard on TV.
I should point out that I don't actually have issues with clitoral stimulation, cuddling or Susie Bright.
