Taken in front of my grandmother's fireplace around xmass.
He was staring at the horn on the phonograph for a minute cuse it was looking at him, he didnt seem to like it but I told him to sit and not move. I snapped the photo and gave him like a pile of treats and hugged em lol ^.^

... that's the old RCA Victor trademark "His Master's Voice" The dog "Nipper" listening to a gramophone. The original was a real painting that was used by the Victor Talking Machine of Camden, N.J.
RCA acquired it after it bought Victor in 1929. Victor Co. of Japan or JVC, also used this trademark.

The victrola that is in this picture is pretty worthless now that it has been modified, some of the clockwork mechanism is still intact enough to spin the turn table but its underside is empty and a speaker hole has been cut into the side, fitted with a speaker and a 6 volt AM dry cell radio wich was later converted to a 120 volt step down transformer as drycell batteries were no longer the in thing, and an amp was added so it could be a bit louder. go oldschool. We lost the crank handle though. so that's sad. Can still wind it with a clock key if you really want to, but unless you get the old records you'll KILL new ones on it, the needle is pretty much like an ice pick.
