Budget character commission for 
Veladynee of his yet unnamed synthetic dragon.
I had a bit of fun with this. Except for highlight layer for the rubbery effect, this wasn't very hard to do. Most of the body is only two colours - a very dark blue and a lighter blue which I painted and merged together to define the bone structure, muscles and shading.
I also wanted to do something a little different with the pose - showing off the curve of his lower back much like that of a cat, and placing the tail so it trails off at an almost hard angle where it hits the ground.
