"Paint the sea in Heaven's luster,
undulating serpent of swirling sapphire.
Beneath the surface shadows muster.
Depths of emptiness, bleak and dire."
I'm really enjoying focusing on my poetry these days. It's relaxing to begin and complete a piece in a single sitting, in stark contrast to novels and their ilk. In a way, I feel bad for neglecting what should probably be my primary focus, but it's hard to be terribly upset as long as I'm productive.
