Having much fun with collage pictures today :D This is Pakuna the panda, drawn for the rainbow animal project of

I was going to go for a lesser heard of animal beginning with 'P' but I'm sorry I just love pandas. And I realised although I've drawn my panda lion a lot I haven't really drawn pandas much! I love him, he was so fun to make ^^
Used my brown sketchbook again, white and pink pencil colours, shading with felt pens, and white gel pen in the ears and highlights :D + black card, green card and STICKERS!
I took a photo of it this time, rather than scanning, it still looks much super nicer in person though. I think I'm going to put this in a scrapbook I'm making, as I just love this one ^^

Pakuna? That is such a lovely name! Is it a real name or did you make it up? I love it! <3
Aww, you and pandas. I should have known you had grabbed pink & pandas ;) I used to draw Twink as a blue panda, I'm very temped to do so again!
This looks beautiful, even though it's a photo - I've never been able to get photos so crisp! Jealous! I hate scanning *L*.

Actually the name means 'deer that bounds and runs' and is native american or something :o He's not a deer but I liked it anyway XD Perhaps it can be ironic, since pandas never run anywhere ;)
Thank you, I still don't think it's crisp *enough* but scanners ruin everything..I might look for a better one. XD Also, yay, I love doing these, I am tempted to do mooore! Although I am making some cards so I shall probably combine this with doing those ^^

I'm in love with this approach your taking on your traditionals Xandy. It's very recognizably your style, and you do such a wonderful job of adapting your shading and bordering techniques from your digital work to these.
Such amazingly clean definition in the shaded tones for the pink on Pakuna. And that lime green is such a punchy complimenting background colour for the pink in the forground subject (your beautiful panda ^..^)
I can also tell that you *do* love drawing bamboo, by how much attention you paid to the shading of the shoot, and the leaves. Pakuna is an amazing new creation. You *MUST* keep him around :3

I like Pakuna a lot, and I do want to keep him around, but I'm a bit worried about making him a character because there might be another pink panda around the archive and I know how people get about their character designs ;) But eh, I'm quite fond of him ^_^
If I receive one of the rainbow animals from you, I am going to stick these on a page together :D
