I miss...

The way you would ruffle my hair whenever we laughed together.
The way you smiled when it was needed.
The way you cared for all of those around you.
The way you never yelled, no matter the situation.
The way you stood, always alert, but welcoming with open arms.
How you would pull that quarter from behind your ear.
How you would treat a small scrape like an open wound just to cheer me up.
How you would take me to another place while the family fought.
How you would look at me while i was sad, then cheer me up right away.
How you would make sure Gram didn't drink too much every night.
When you'd take me out for ice cream every weekend.
When you'd take me to the park because we could, no matter the weather.
When you'd hold me upside down to cheer me up.
When we'd laugh together at Grams expense, but help her out of it.
When we'd snuggle in the couch on Christmas night.
When we'd look at eachother, and not go 5 seconds without smiling or laughing.

I wonder...what if you hadn't had that heart attack? What if it didn't happen right in front of my eyes? I felt so helpless...what if it was me? Would you feel this way? Would you think about it every night? Would you think of me as a guardian angel like i do you?

You were the best, you always made me smile. I depend upon others to do that now, but thinking of you makes me sad...i can't go 10 seconds without shedding a tear when i think of you...
