Here's a cover of a Diamond Head song, made famous by Metallica, this cover of which is kinda inspired somewhat by a mixture of both, adapted from a MIDI file for the latter, with a slight twist on the arrangement. It's not a cover of the full 5 minuets, just the first 2 and a bit which is played live. I moved the solo from the end of the song to the end of this part just to give it something as an ending after the second chorus, I felt it kinda needed it, though it might get taken out, as might the keyboard track as well... I dunno. Mix also isn't quite there... cymbals feel a little too loud if I'm honest. I'm really pleased at just how much fucking bass grunt this has though, which is nice :P
I'd also be kinda interested in having someone try and do vocals for it, so if you're interested and can do metal vocals, I'd be interested to have a go!

Thanks! Well, the origin of Diamond Head and the movement they came from (the New Wave of British Heavy Metal) often involved the fusion of the 70's British Punk Rock and the 70's British Early Metal, kinda the doomy stuff of Black Sabbath with the fast Sex Pistols thing, which thus gave this kinda music.
I dunno the origin of the MIDI too well, it was uploaded in a group for the Grarage Inc. Metallica album. I didn't straight use the midi though, I re-typed the whole thing it thanks in large to the convoluted way FL handles MIDI. I also re-typed it so I could edit the riff because Metallica plays this riff very stiff and binary-like, whereas the Diamond Head original is much more fluid and so forth. I'll probably turn 'em down in the mix, that aught'a fix it.
