I took a big step for myself during the vacation i take every year at the end of May. Where normally I'll just sit around the house and simply enjoy not going to work. Maybe go to the mountains and pick mushrooms. This time  Froogle92 made a comment a few months before about there being a small furry con at the same time as my vacation, not too far from where they live. So, in a totally uncharacteristic moment, I just told myself "fuck it. i'll go!"

And I'm glad I did! I traveled most of the way across the country (i'm in Oregon i'm a long ways from everything interesting) with only a couple hiccups along the way. And got to meet some wonderful and very welcoming people. I spent most of my time hanging out with  Froogle92 and riding around in their fancy Firebird car. But I also met  tobiasGSD and  Amurblacktiger and had a lot of fun going to dinner and watching movies at their place.

At this point in time i'm seriously hoping i'll be able to make all the arrangements to go again next year!
