Salaam is an angel, with the physical form of an albino peacock. He is a Seraph of Tranquility, approaching life in a calm, calculated, n' peaceful manner. He possesses strong holy magic, specifically healing, and is able to instill tranquility in those he meets. Angelic lifestyle n' culture makes things like love a confusing subject for the seraph, but Salaam certainly enjoys Oliver's companionship as he comes to slowly learn the ways of mortals.

Oliver is a human werewolf, forced to live a secluded life in the back woods of New Orleans due to his curse. However, thanks to a chance encounter with a certain seraph, he was able to get a better lease on life. A collar fashioned of silver n' wormwood has allowed Oliver a sliver of control of his curse, allowing him to stay relatively coherent (so long as his emotional state is stable) whenever he transforms as well as even transform into a more anthropomorphic hybrid with enough concentration at will. Salaam's continued presence allows Oliver to remain calm n' tranquil, but the werewolf wonders if its more than just living a normal life with a curse that makes him want the angel to stick around...
