I won a raffle from  Hallimmar and I decided to ask for THIS PIECE! I've been wanting to have this moment captured since last year sometime, but my financial situation changed, and I couldn't commission all the artists that I wanted to, or the pieces of art, that I wanted to. At last year's Anthrocon 2015, I got to spend the early hours of a morning, cuddled up to a Furry that I have admired since joining the Fandom last January. I love giraffes, so much, that I collect them (plushies, jewelry, pictures/artwork, and even the most exciting experience of my entire honeymoon, I had with my now, EX-husband, hand feeding the giraffes, at the Natural Bridge Zoo, in Virginia!) But, when I found this incredible Fursuiter, on FA, when looking up giraffes, in the SEARCH section, I found  Zarafa, and reading about all the incredible experiences this man has had, I knew I had to meet him someday, if for nothing more, than to shake his hand. He is a wonderful furson, with many talents, and he has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know. I had been messaging him all weekend, during Anthrocon 2015, and then after he invited me to meet him at the rave/dance (whatever you want to call it), and embarrassingly passed out, while we were dancing, immediately following two bright pulses from the strobe lights, I was mortified that I had ruined my time with him. The next morning, when I woke up, in my room, I messaged him, and I apologized, and asked him if he wanted to meet and do something other than dance, since the strobes had affected me so badly. He agreed to come to my room for some chatting and drinks, and instead of drinking, we laid on the bed, facing each other and talked, until I fell asleep. When I awoke, he was gone, and I was kind of bummed, but then I noticed he left me a handwritten note, that said that he had gone to the dance, to shake off the excess Con-Rush energy, and that if I wanted him to come back, after the dance, to text him and let him know... So, I messaged him, and told him I'd love for him to come back, and he came up, and he was wearing his Custom Kigurumi, that someone had made him of his Fursona, and I was wearing my new Kigurumi (they didn't have a Snow Leopard, so I got a Rat, since I'm a Rat-Mommy... OH! And now a Rat-Grandma!), that I had purchased earlier the day before, and we cuddled up and held each other, while wearing our own Kigurumis. But I had told that I would love to have a piece done of the two of us together, immortalizing our time at Anthrocon 2015, freezing it in time, so we would both be able to remember a night filled with friendly conversation and cuddling. But I decided it would be cool, if we were wearing each other's Kigurumi in the picture... just for fun! And made that happen, when I won an art page, last month! I really love this piece! Hallimmar is a great artist to work with, and I love watching his art evolve. The more he draws, the better he gets! So, thank you, for making this piece of art, a reality! It looks great, and I love it!
