An idea I had. A young alchemist who's too focused on his own work for school. He was told of an abandoned ruins-like area that contained ingredients that were hard to come by. He adventured out to it, rummaging through the area. He managed to find some dried plants, fungus, and some old books. Curiously, he cracked open a well preserved book and read some of it. Upon finishing a paragraph, he heard movement outside. Fearing he'd stumbled onto somewhere illegal, he rushed outside, keeping to the shadows.He stopped, noticing that one of the statues had begun moving. To his surprise, she called him "Master". Now he had a familiar following him. Despite being made of stone, she's quite nimble, something that surprised him. He found a dress to cover her shame, something she herself doesn't understand, but she accepts it. Her hands are bound, ensuring her lack of freedom. The alchemist hopes to one day give her freedom.
