thanks hun :) Just hope I did her right.. But I think I did :)she was a mix of a Irish setter and a golden retriever, but looked mostly like an Irish setter, with that chestnut/red fur color and long fur. But I cant remember if her nose was black or brown.... I chose to go for the black though
I think the first thing I wanted to say upon sight of this was "Shiny puppy is shiny." x)
OK. I must admit. This was totally nice as you happen to have that Nintendogs like coloration quality here that kind of seems like...as best as digital coloration can come to looking like an actual dog. [Which should say something coming from me.] Happening to also like how there's no outlines there. None. As if it's meant to be that take it as you see it kind of way which happens to be what makes it look realistic. And I like that.
Another thing that's cool to me is how you did the background. The background.. is just nice to me, that it is. Saying this as I like how it happens to be that of a cut out of a house there. So it's...comforting along with the dog when you look at it.
Makes for a rather nicely done Valentine's day picture in my opinion there oh Ziba chan~ ^ ^

Hehehehe lol XD shiny indeed =p
I did try out some new fur texture tricks, though most of it is still how I have always done fur, just tried something new with the light blending to the fur strokes. As for the outlines I just gave them the same color as the fur around, shading it where the fur had been shaded too, so it was on purpose :) I did that same with my previous 2 drawings too, but I do think that it was a bigger success here, but as they always say, practice make perfect :) hopefully I can do the same with the linework again in my future works.
The background however was so easy to do and actually very simple. I googled a photograph using the word floor and I found this photo from some site selling wood planks as far as I remember. Copied and pasted the photo in to the drawing and then did some ps7 magic =p with the color tolerance etc on it and made it fade around the corners.
And thanks :) My cousin was very happy for it as well. Its just a shame that that dog isnt alive anymore :/ but life does go on :)
