Darkwing Chronicles Poster - A Gift for PandaDox
This little piece is a gift to the awesome
pandadox who not only drew my current icon but also has done some outstanding concepts for the Darkwing Duck universe.
He really got me with it, because some of his character designs are really cool: dark, gritty and more "adult" than the tv series.
So this poster thingy, which is obviously an hommage to the Batman Begins poster is my way of saying thank you for moving this whole franchise in the right direction.
Because I really liked the series, especially the characters and the atmosphere, but it was too childish sometimes, which I found pretty annoying.
So if you enjoyed the series aswell, be sure to check out PandaDox's gallery. And for those of you who look for a new cool looking icon, he still has some slots open at the moment!

Cool! One of the few post-TaleSpin shows I liked.
I was able to meet Jim Cummings who was Darkwing's voice in July. You know how there are some people just so laid back you could BS with them for hours??
That's Jim Cummings from my experience. Really - REALLY nice guy. Me and 5 other adults talked with him for..oh..., at least 45 minutes. He was a blast!

Hey... I was just in the right place at the right time. I've had things like this happen several times with famous faces and voices:
Met former Apollo 17 astronaut Dr. Harrison "Jack" Schmitt - the only geologist to walk on the Moon;
Met Buzz Aldrin - second man to step foot on the Moon. I also met the late shuttle astronaut Dr. Karl Henize in the late 1980's.
I also met the late comedian Louie Nye and his friend John Byner at California's Knotts Berry Farm when I was a kid (got their autographs too).
And.., I grew up living down the block from Nobel prize winner Dr. Glen Seaborg. In fact I remember seeing Dr. Teller (father of the H-Bomb) drive up our street, then drive down again with Dr. Seaborg in the car (they frequently went to lunch together). Last time I actually talked to Dr. Seaborg was when I ran into him on the Berkeley campus one day.
I miss him... He was one of the nicest neighbors we had on our street.
