Installment #2
It happened quite suddenly. I’m still not sure how. The speed at which events unfolded was dizzying.
An arranged marriage.
An arranged lesbian marriage.
All of this started while we were in Limsa. It was raining, like always, and we were gathered by the aetheryte crystal talking. There was nothing too unusual about that. Saber and Erza were sitting by each other. I was beside Hikari. The rest of our group were all sitting by their partners. At the time I had no clue what was about to happen.
We started talking about the different couples and marriages, and especially about what a great couple Saber and Erza were. Then I started , with a single comment, a chain of events that led to my arranged lesbian marriage.
“I would really like to get married,” I said, “but it seems no one really wants to marry me.”
Saber looked at me. “Alright,” she said. “Bronwyn, Hikari, you two are getting married.”
I sat there shocked for a moment before looking over toward Hikari. “Is this really ha—” My sentence was cut short as I realized Hikari was no longer sitting there, but instead running off in the distance. To my surprise, she was already on her way to the Mog Station to get everything set up for our wedding! I sat there not knowing what to say. Was I happy? Was I surprised? I’m still not sure.
With that began all the plans: Who would be the bridesmaid? What would the cake be? And of course, what would the theme of the wedding be? With so much ahead of us, most of it remained undecided.
