Well, this is without a single doubt the hardest artwork I have worked onto, so far. I tried so many things and applied so many technics to get that picture done like this.
This idea started when I got the weird title for a new artwork as "You got a Mewtation (mutation)". After months carying this idea, I finally decided to search on Google for a free line-art of Mew and I got happy to find this very nice one.
At first, I was skeptical about making the original Mew to be colored as my fursona, I even almost stomped on my idea and wanted to make it be the real Mew instead. But, I was too curious to know how it would come out as my fursona so I followed this idea instead.
Honestly, I had a lot of fun with this picture. I learned many new things about my program and paracticed many new techniques and such. But, during the progression of this artwork, I almost ended to give up many time since I got stucked many time on how to apply the shade and highlight. Well, instead of dropping this artwork, I simply decided to take many breaks from it to think about it and so that made this picture to last a long 2 weeks before it got completed.
I am pretty happy with the result and am glad I watched a video where a guy was applying a real texture on his artwork to make it look even more real. So, I managed to do something on my own and create a pretty nice looking fur effect on my character.
It is one of the artwork I am the happyest about.
I wish you'll like it :)
The artwork is by me but NOT the lineart, which can be find on Google as a free to use sketch.
Original not shrunken one can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/33odipy4x.....ation.png?dl=0

You didn't even have to say it, it's immediately apparent the hard work you put into this. Mew [eh, Phydro? XD] looks so fuzzy I can feel it, like mouse fur. And I always love it when the eyes reflect the surroundings, especially like here where I can see the stars in his jade hued eyes.
The only thing I'd change is maybe having the mouth in focus, and using the reflections from the right arm on the left arm as well.
Glad you didn't give up. I do the same, take breaks or move to another drawing and come back to it later, sometimes taking weeks to finish it but the time put into it pays off like here.
