When he says "go on" he means "go escape into the second Eden while I stay here on the ruined Earth fighting manifestations of evil spawned from the human psyche thanks to my technology, until I die".

By "barrier sigils" he means those floating planks he uses to bash things (amongst other uses). The pieces actually interlock with each other, and can form a much larger tessellated plate. I'll put an example pattern later.
