...the paradox unseen...
...Shane Knight
- an excerpt from "Lamentations of an Icarus - Part IV" -
“You best get ready to play your part, Tyson,” he said, the grin he bore shifting form around the edge into the telltale, complacent smirk of brash overconfidence. But even then, this subtle and menacing mutation did not convey any ill intent toward Tyson. This unfamiliar person with the most familiar of faces was not his enemy, but he was still no friend the raccoon recognized.
“’Cuz I don’t think you wanna miss what comes next.”

You can't talk, I'm anxious./
I'm off the walls./
I'm right here just/
come outside and see it./
But pack your heart, you might need it./
I will find a way./
I'm confused though,/
but I think I can try./
I will save your life./
I will try for you./

Iridescent to the searching eyes, I'm all things vivid in a world of grey./
So easily spotted, so easily claimed in this domain where all is prey./
My thoughts a radiant beacon to the omnidirectional hunter-god radar./
I'm a markerlight of flesh to these subconscious carnivores./
I am them. I am teeth. I'm their arousal at the kill./
Feasting on self. A schizoreality warp. The contradiction fulfilled./

I can't take credit for anything you see here.
I want to thank
xypress for all the hard work and effort he put into this piece. This is the first art piece that features Shane, and in my mind, he did such a fabulous job bringing him to life this way with his enormous talent. It was wonderful to have been given the chance to work with him again on a much more detailed commission. It was a real thrill to watch this piece come together one step at a time. I can't be more grateful for what I've received.
So take a look at his page and see for yourself just what cool stuff this can do! He's very professional and approachable. See for yourself. :)
