Monster Adoptable: Grinning Lizard
Height: 7ft
Length: 16ft
Weight: 300lbs
Diet: Carnivore
Description: A large fleshy reptilian creature that lurks the deep forests at night. They have no eyes and appear to find prey through their sense of smell. They have sharp sickle like claws that they use to rend flesh or cut down branches that get in their way. Their mouth splits down their neck to reveal 400 sharp teeth. Its tongue is long and flat used to wrap around prey and bind them while swallowing them whole. They can however eat normally, tearing apart creatures flesh after killing them but the other way is their preferred. It always has that eerie grin on its mouth and has a habit of staring at its prey. Truly a creepy critter.
Taming: Grinning Lizards are difficult to tame but not impossible. The trick is to catch one without being caught by one yourself. Feed them meats, usually creature such as deer or other larger mammals. After an uncertain amount of time the creature will associate your scent with food and companionship and will (probably) no longer try to eat you.
Biology: These creatures mostly inhabit the Dark Woods and eat only meat. They hunt the various larger wild life that roam the Dark Woods and eat only every 2 weeks. They are capable of eating more but in order to keep their slender figure they limit themselves to eat only 2 weeks at a time. A fat Grinning Lizard is a dead Grinning Lizard. Most Grinning Lizards hide during the day and come out at night. During the day Grinning Lizards can be found in the cave systems that dot the landscape of the Dark Woods. Grinning Lizards will not be seen in large groups and are never found in a grouping more then 2.
Sociology: Grinning Lizards are usually "lone wolf" scenarios. They travel alone, eat alone, and live alone. Though with the introduction of a provider such as a human that gives them food and shelter, this can be an acceptable compromise for them. The attention given by the provider is a nice change of pace for a Grinning Lizard, their isolated life style leaving them rather awkward in public. They have a habit of just silently staring at anyone it is uncertain of, and sometimes have a habit of eating people if unfed and left alone with someone they do not recognize. Grinning Lizards genuinely care about their providers and usually wouldn't go against their wishes. They are capable of sensing emotions much like other more intelligent animals. Being warm blooded reptiles with a low body temp they are welcoming of physical contact.
Info for artists: This creature is VORE compatable, but that dosnt mean its a vore centered monster. If your into vore then heck yeah bid on it. if your not into vore, bid on it, it dosnt have to be vore centered :D
