Lathe was one of Jabba the Hutt's skiff guards in " Star Wars, Return of the Jedi ". He was on the * other * skiff, not the cool skiff with Luke mind you, the * other * skiff. The original Kenner action figure was called Nikto ( and is also one of my faves ) but the term Nikto is now the species name so it'd be like them calling Luke Skywalker, Human.... or maybe just Man. So now, they've given him his very own name, Lathe! And yes, he does appear to be wearing a birds nest on his head. That's just the way his hat-thing looks though. However, it didn't keep him from falling into the sarlacc.
