AT #008 - LEGO Dimensions Characters (2.0) - Part 1
Hello fellow furries,
Andrew here and welcome to another Andrew's Thoughts. A few months ago, I posted a 6th Andrew's Thoughts about there not being very much LEGO original characters for LEGO Dimensions. Well, before I did that, I didn't know much about LEGO Dimensions. More specifically, what type of characters are required to play through the entire game.
Well for my birthday, my older brother got me LEGO Dimensions for the Xbox 360. I wanted to wait til after I get an Xbox One to get that game so I can get the Xbox One version (which would probably be cheaper by then & all mentioned characters would be released), but my older brother insisted on getting it for me...
Anyway, for the game, I planned on doing a playthrough using ONLY LEGO original characters, with Laval from Legends of Chima being the leader of my team. Only problem, there's no LEGO original characters in the game that can perform magic or can grapple...
The only playable characters that can grapple is Batman & Wonder Woman, while the only playable characters that can perform magic is Gandalf & The Wicked Witch... So basically right from the start, the game is forcing me to use third party characters...
So, after learning from the gameplay on what kind of abilities are required to go through each level, I did some research on almost every LEGO original franchise and found 31 LEGO original characters that could perfectly substitute the third party characters. Originally I found 30, but there was a Ninjago character that I should of known about earlier...
So today, I'm gonna list down those 31 characters in alphabetical order, starting with characters that have a gadget they could use to perform the Grapple ability & characters that have a power that should be compatible with the Magic ability. I will list down what abilities & vehicles they should have and why I feel they should have them. I'm still collecting information for some characters, so some of their details might be missing...
If you'd like to know more on what each ability does, click here. If there's quotes around the ability's name, it means it's similar to an existing ability and/or should be compatible with that ability.
---GRAPPLE CHARACTERS---
Name: Breez (Invasion From Below)
Theme: Hero Factory
Weapons/Items:
(Both On Figure & In Game)
-Hero Factory Wrist Computer (In game, it only appears when using “Atlantis Elemental” or Relic Detection abilities)
-Plasma Blaster
(In Game)
-Electro Chain (When Using The Grapple Ability)
Abilities:
-“Atlantis Elemental”
Now obviously she isn't Atlantean like Aquaman. HOWEVER, she is programmed to be able to communicate with pretty much every creature in the galaxy. And the Atlantis Elemental Ability allows the player to speak to fishes, which are creatures. As such, I feel Breez should have this ability. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Aquaman.
-Flight
During the Invasion From Below movie, Breez had boot jets which she used to fly throughout most of the episode. As such, I feel she should have the ability to fly.
-Grapple
During the Invasion From Below movie, Breez had an Electro Chain she used on the FLYER Beast. She used it to smack the beast, put it around the beast's mouth so that she can ride on it, and even tied the beast up to a building. As such, I feel she should be able to use it to grapple. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Batman or Wonder Woman.
-Illumination
During the Invasion From Below movie, the heroes of Hero Factory were equipped with head-mounted lights. The ones that weren't captured first used them when they went underground to rescue the hostages.
-Relic Detection
They probably had this for a long time, but during the Invasion From Below movie, the heroes of Hero Factory were equipped with wrist mounded tracking/scanning devices. As such, I feel Breez should be able to use it to find hidden LEGO objects.
-Target
As seen in the Invasion From Below movie and on the cover of her toy, she's armed with a Plasma Blaster.
-Underwater Swimming
As a robot, I doubt she needs to breathe... And I'm also sure the robots of Hero Factory are water proof... So I feel she should be able to swim underwater. That way (if she is given the “Atlantean Elemental” & Grapple Abilities), players wouldn't have to rely on Aquaman or Wonder Woman.
Vehicle: Breez Flea Machine
Vehicle Abilities:
-Silver LEGO Blowup
The Flea Machine is armed with missiles. As such, I feel it should have the Silver LEGO Blowup ability.
-Tow Bar
One of the things the Flea Machine has is a grapple hook. As such, I feel it should have the Tow Bar ability.
Name: Crunch (Deep Sea)
The reason I feel Crunch should be in his Deep Sea attire is because this was the last minifigure of Crunch they released. In Deep Freeze, he was replaced by Diamond Tooth. That, and we need a character that has Silver LEGO Blowup underwater, and the Alpha Team in Deep Sea all had scuba gear so that they can do their mission underwater.
Theme: Alpha Team
Weapons/Items:
(Both On Figure & In Game)
-Harpoon
(In Game)
-Dynamite (When throwing them)
-Flippers (When using Underwater Swimming Ability)
Abilities:
-Grapple
Since he's equipped with a harpoon, I feel he should use it to grapple. Then again, he's a demolition expert, not a rope expert like Flex. I guess the creators can decide wether or not they want to do that. For all I know, they might want to replace his harpoon on the toy with the dynamite.
-Silver LEGO Blowup
Since Crunch is a demolition expert & has dynamite on his torso, I feel he should be able to use dynamite to blowup silver LEGOs. Kinda like how Jacoby and The Spaniard in LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game use bombs to blowup silver LEGOs. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Cyberman.
-Target
Since he's equipped with a harpoon, I feel he should have the Target ability.
-Underwater Swimming
With the scuba gear he is wearing, he should have the ability to swim underwater.
Vehicle: Alpha Team Missile Truck
This vehicle came from the theme before Deep Sea. However, I feel Crunch should have this vehicle because this is his personal vehicle. In Deep Sea, he was using the Alpha Team Command Sub along with Radia. Though I guess this vehicle's third rebuild could be a submarine or something.
Vehicle Abilities:
-Accelerator Switches
Since the Missile Truck is a land vehicle on wheels, it should be able to use Accelerator Switches.
-Silver LEGO Blowup
This vehicle should have this ability not only because it's Crunch's vehicle and he's a demolition expert, but also because it shoots missiles. And as Crunch's personal vehicle, I'm sure it has enough destructive power to destroy Silver LEGO objects.
Name: Lennox
This suggestion is incase the creators can't use Breez &/or give her the Grapple Ability. If they can't give Breez that ability, they can certainly give Lennox that ability because one of the sets he appeared in has him armed with a grapple gun.
The information I collected on Lennox might not be considered cannon to the Legends of Chima storyline (more specifically the TV show)... But the reason I'm suggesting these particular weapons, gear, &/or abilities is because Lennox didn't have that big of an appearance in the TV show. He only had one webisode ''Lennox The Brave'' and that was it... So I'm also collecting information from sets he was in & books that focused around him.
Theme: Legends of Chima
Weapons/Items:
(Both On Figure & In Game)
-Fangius
(In Game)
-Lion Tribe Grapple Gun (When Using Grapple Ability)
-Lion Tribe Jetpack (When Using Flight Ability)
-Sonic Roarox (When Using Target Ability)
Abilities:
-Acrobatics
In the video game ''Legends of Chima: Laval's Journey'', all Lion Tribe characters were able to access Lion Pads. Lion Pads are just like Acrobatics Pads in LEGO Dimensions. And since Laval is able to use Acrobatics Pads, Lennox should have this ability too. Not only that, but in the webisode “Lennox the Brave”, he is seen doing a front flip to board the Crocodile Tribe's vehicle and used it to catapult himself back into his own vehicle that Cragger hijacked. So that's another example that shows he should have this ability.
-Chi
Because all Legends of Chima characters can perform this ability.
-Flight
In the Legends of Chima Brickmaster book ''The Quest For CHI'' in the second chapter “Jungle Ambush”, Lennox had a jetpack that allows him to to fly. As such, I feel he should have it so that he can use the Flight Ability.
-Grapple
In the set 70014 The Croc Swamp Hideout, Lennox was equipped with a Lion Tribe Grapple Gun. As such, I feel he should use it to be able to perform the Grapple Ability. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Batman or Wonder Woman.
-High Jump
Because every character with Acrobatics has this ability. Although, since I feel he should have the Flight ability, it might be hard to include both abilities for Lennox.
-Super Strength (When Using Chi Ability)
Because when a character powers up with Chi, they have this ability until their meter runs out.
-Target
It is said that the Sonic Roarox is Lennox's preferred weapon. He probably knows how to aim it perfectly too. As such, he should have the Target ability.
Vehicle: Lion Attack
Vehicle Abilities:
-Accelerator Switches
-Silver LEGO Blowup
-Target
Name: Professor Sam Rhodes (Quest for the Golden King)
Originally, I wasn't planning on involving another Atlantis character. But when I went to the Scooby-Doo! Adventure World underwater, I later discovered that I need a character that can hack underwater, use technological panels underwater, and can track underwater. If the creators of this game include Becky as a playable character and give her all the abilities I feel she should have, then the Hacking & Technology Abilities are covered underwater. All that's left is a character that can do the Tracking Ability underwater. That's where Professor Sam Rhodes comes in.
Theme: Atlantis
Weapons/Items:
(Both On Figure & In Game)
-Harpoon
(In Game)
-Flippers (When using Underwater Swimming Ability)
Abilities:
-Grapple
Since she's equipped with a harpoon, I feel she should use it to grapple.
-Illumination
In the LEGO Atlantis movie, it is shown that the helmets they're wearing have built-in lights. I'm not sure if the newer diving suits have this feature too, but I assume it's the same suit, except a different style. As such, I feel Sam should have the Illumination ability.
-Master Build
I can understand if the creators don't want to give her this ability. However, in the LEGO Atlantis movie, she was able to build the Typhoon Turbo Sub in less than 5 seconds using pieces in the Neptune Carrier's docking bay.
Also in her distress journal from the online game “Quest for the Golden King”, she says she built the Artimus using broken pieces of the Sea Bed Strider and Lance's Ocean Speeder.
And I honestly don't see how she was able to do that since most of the pieces needed to make The Artimus weren't on those sets... Lol! So perhaps she should have this ability. But as I said, I can understand if the creators don't want to give her this ability.
-Tracking
In the LEGO Atlantis movie, she was putting most of her focus in finding the city of Atlantis and was doing an excellent job at following the trails. And eventually with the help of her team, she was successful in finding Atlantis. As such, I feel she should have the Tracking Ability. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Scooby-Doo underwater.
-Underwater Swimming
Considering the main characters of LEGO Atlantis are wearing diving suits, she MUST have this ability. I can't imagine her not having this ability. Especially since she & her team are seen swimming underwater in the LEGO Atlantis movie.
Vehicle: The Artimus
Vehicle Abilities:
-Silver LEGO Blowup
If you look on the mini-sub's sides, you can see that the Artimus is armed with missiles. As such, I feel it should have this ability.
-Super Strength
Considering this mini-sub has robotic arms, it shows that this mini-sub is part mech. As such, I feel it should have the ability to smash through Cracked LEGO Walls.
-Underwater Swimming
Considering this vehicle is a mini-sub, it should have the ability to operate underwater.
---MAGIC CHARACTERS---
Name: Ann Lee
Theme: Monster Fighters
Weapons/Items:
(Both On Figure & In Game)
-Broomstick
-Crossbow
Abilities:
-Acrobatics
Considering she studies the long forgotten art of broomstickajitzu and (on the cover of 9467 The Ghost Train) she was hanging on a chain from the Bi-Plane, I feel she's athletic enough to be an Acrobat. Especially since for her Magic Blast special attack in the game “The Monsterland Tales”, she performs a backflip before the blast.
-High Jump
Because every character with Acrobatics has this ability.
-Magic
I originally wasn't planning on suggesting this ability for Ann Lee, but according to her info in the LEGO Monster Fighters game “The Monsterland Tales”, Ann Lee is a “not-too-shabby magician”. One of her special abilities is even called “Magic Blast”. So because of those details, I feel she should have the Magic ability. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Gandalf or the Wicked Witch.
-Magic Blast
This ability isn't listed in the LEGO Dimensions wikia. If the creators do decide to give Ann Lee this ability, then she'd be the only one who would have it, unless one of the other Monster Fighters heroes are made playable, then they would have a similar ability. This was one of her abilities in the game “The Monsterland Tales” (this ability might be called something else...). Anyway, in the game, when players hold the left mouse button, they charge up and when they are fully charged, she performs this attack which blasts away all enemies that are surrounding her. I feel she should have this ability in LEGO Dimensions.
-Pole Vault
I feel she should use her broomstick to create extra Twirl Poles, especially since she's a master of broomstickajitzu.
-Target
Because she is equipped with a Crossbow, one of her strengths is archery, and her info in the LEGO Monster Fighters game “The Monsterland Tales” says she is a master crossbow archer.
Vehicle: Ghost Vacuum Bi-Plane
Originally, Frank Rock pilots this vehicle on the cover of 9467 The Ghost Train. But since Ann Lee is rivals with the Ghosts, I feel she should have this vehicle. Besides, she was recruited into the team because Dr. Rodney was looking for a suitable pilot brave enough to fly into the Monster Realms.
She's even seen piloting it on the cover of Jul-Aug 2012's LEGO Club Magazine.
Besides, the Autogyro isn't equipped with a Ghost Vacuum or any device that suspends & traps ghosts...
Vehicle Abilities:
-Cargo Hook
Since the plane has a chain that Ann Lee is holding onto on the cover of 9467 The Ghost Train, I feel this plane should have a cargo hook ability.
-Flight
Well, it is an airplane... Airplanes fly, don't they? Lol!
-Flight Dock
As a flying vehicle, I'm sure it is capable of doing this.
-Ghost Suspend
As a Ghost Vacuum, it should have the ability to suspend Ghostly Swarms so that it can suck them up after all of them are suspended. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Peter Venkman... It wouldn't be the same way Venkman suspends them (using a vacuum instead of a proton pack), but it will suspend them.
-Ghost Trap
As a Ghost Vacuum, it should have the ability to suck up Ghostly Swarms. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Peter Venkman's Ghost Trap... As for using the Containment Units, the plane could back up in front of the Containment Unit, eject the barrel containing the ghosts, and load it back up after the Containment Unit is done.
Now obviously if it was the same size as the original, the barrel wouldn't be able to fit in there. However, all vehicles for the playable characters are “minikit sized” both as the toy and in the game. As such, a barrel from a minikit Ghost Vacuum Bi-Plane should be able to fit in there.
-Silver LEGO Blowup
Since this vehicle shoots missiles, I feel it should have Silver LEGO Blowup.
Name: AntiMatter
Theme: Ultra Agents
Weapons/Items:
(Both On Figure & In Game)
-AntiMatter Staff
Abilities:
-Electricity
As you can no doubt tell from the cover of the 70170 UltraCopter vs. AntiMatter set, he is using electricity on the UltraCopter. As such, he should have the ability to power electric coils.
-“Magic”
I doubt this is magic he's using, but in LEGO Ultra Agents: The AntiMatter Missions, he is using the powers of his staff to hold a dozen hostages in mid air. As such, I feel he should have the ability to access highlighted LEGO objects with blue stars. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Gandalf or the Wicked Witch.
-“Magical Shield”
Once again, I doubt this is magic he's using. But in LEGO Ultra Agents: The AntiMatter Missions, AntiMatter creates a “Teleportation Force Field” to protect himself from the Ultra Agents' missiles. So he should have this ability.
-Mind Control
He has the ability to turn ordinary civilians into super villains. As such, I feel he should have the ability to mind control. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Wonder Woman, Cyberman, or the Wicked Witch.
-“Portal Gun”
Though he isn't using a Portal Gun like Chell, his staff is able to create portals. Not to mention that according to the Gear Info on the Ultra Agents LEGO website, one of the features on his staff is a “Portal Diamond”. As such, I feel he should also have this ability so that players wouldn't have to rely on Chell.
Vehicle: Anti-Gravity Flyer
Vehicle Abilities:
-Flight
The flyer should be able to fly. After all, why call it a flyer if it doesn't fly?
-Silver LEGO Blowup
The flyer shoots missiles. And I feel these missiles should have enough destructive power to blow up Silver LEGOs.
Name: Cassiopeia
The reason I want to suggest Cassiopeia is because I think her species has telekinetic powers, which she could use to access highlighted LEGO objects with blue stars (just like with magic). I believe this because in LEGO Soccer Mania the video game, the martians (as well as Cassiopeia) are using some form of power to levitate themselves a few inches above the ground. If that's telekinesis they're using to do that, then I'd like to suggest Cassiopeia A LOT more than Majisto.
Theme: Life On Mars
Weapons/Items:
None
If her species does have telekinetic powers, then weapons/items aren't necessary. Because she could augment her telekinetic powers to fight kinda like how Mace Windu augmented the Force in Star Wars: Clone Wars - Season 2: Chapter 13.
Abilities:
-Acrobatics
I could be wrong, but I see Cassiopeia as a very athletic martian. Especially considering she was the goalie for the Martians in LEGO Soccer Mania. As such, I feel she should have the Acrobatics Ability.
-Hacking
As the Mars Exploration Log in the Life On Mars commercial says, the Martians' technology is very advanced. With that said, I'm sure her species is advanced enough to know how to hack.
-High Jump
Not only because every character with Acrobatics has this ability, but since her species is using their power to levitate themselves in the air in LEGO Soccer Mania, I feel she should have the ability to jump higher. Kinda like how the Jedi/Sith can in the LEGO Star Wars video games.
-“Magic”
As I said before, from seeing what they do in LEGO Soccer Mania, I believe the martians have telekinetic powers. As such, I feel she should be able to use that power on objects that require the Magic Ability. Kinda like when Jedi/Sith use the Force in the LEGO Star Wars video games.
That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Gandalf or the Wicked Witch.
-Technology
As mentioned before, the Martians' technology is very advanced. So I feel she should be able to interact with technology panels.
Vehicle: Recon-Mech RP
Although this vehicle was piloted by Antares in the set, the reason I feel Cassiopeia should have this vehicle instead is because in the second Russian LEGO magazine comic of Life On Mars “Robot vs. Robot”, she was piloting this vehicle while Antares (who looks like Pollux for some reason) was piloting something else.
Vehicle Abilities:
-Flight
This mech has a flight mode. So it should be able to fly.
-Laser
Not only because it is armed with one, but in Sep-Oct 2001's LEGO Mania Magazine, Antares used this mech's weapon to dig a tunnel. From looking at it in action, I feel it might be powerful enough to blast through Gold LEGO objects & melt ice. And since the arms can move in different directions, the player should have the ability to aim the laser's line of fire (like with Bad Cop).
-Super Strength
Most mechs in the game have this ability. Plus, I think the Recon-Mech RP is strong enough to smash Cracked LEGO Walls.
Name: Clouse
This suggestion is incase the creators can't use Ann Lee, AntiMatter, Cassiopeia, The Golden King, Majisto, or Skylor &/or give any of them the Magic Ability. If they can't give any of them that ability, they can certainly give Clouse that ability because his element is Dark Magic.
Theme: Ninjago
Weapons/Items:
(TBD)
Abilities:
-Magic
Vehicle: Clouse's Earth Mech
Vehicle Abilities:
-Super Strength
Name: The Golden King
This suggestion is incase the creators of the game cannot give Breez an “Atlantis Elemental” ability &/or include Naida Riverheart as playable characters for some reason.
Although, if Breez & Naida can't dive underwater, then the Golden King would need to be in anyway because (unless he doesn't have water powers) I discovered in the Scooby-Doo Adventure World underwater that we need a character that can clean hazards underwater, and there are some Atlantis Pools that are underwater...
Theme: Atlantis
Weapons/Items:
(Both On Figure & In Game)
-Golden King's Trident
The trident from the set he was in was just an ordinary gold trident like what the Dark Guardians were equipped with. However, in Professor Sam Rhodes' distress journal for the online game “Quest for the Golden King”, he needed 5 glowing gems in order to achieve his full power to set himself & the hostages free. So I felt his trident should look like the one from the game.
Besides, if he has most of the abilities I feel he should have, I'm sure he needs all the gems in his staff to access those abilities.
Abilities:
I couldn't find much info on the Golden King anywhere on the internet. So some of these abilities are what I think (or strongly hope) he would have if he were playable.
-Atlantis Elemental
Considering he's from Atlantis and is the valiant leader of Atlantis, he must have this ability. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Aquaman.
-Deflection
Not sure how powerful the Golden King's Trident is when it has all 5 of it's gems, but I believe it has deflection capabilities. Though since this is basically a guess on what abilities he might have, it's up to the creators to decide wether or not they want to give him this ability.
-Growth
Because all characters with the Water Spray ability have this ability.
-Hazard Cleaner
Because all characters with the Water Spray ability have this ability.
-Hazard Protection
Since he's a magical statue, I feel he is immune to hazardous waste.
-Illumination
In Professor Sam Rhodes' distress journal from the online game “Quest for the Golden King”, she mentioned seeing a glowing golden light at a temple with no signs of life. But when she got thrown into the dungeon, that glowing golden light turned out to be the Golden King. With that said, I feel he should have the Illumination ability.
-Invulnerability
Since he's a magical statue, I feel he should be immune to damage. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Gamer Kid, Superman, or Wonder Woman.
-Laser
This suggested ability is incase they can give Naida Underwater Swimming. Though if the creators give him Water Spray and can figure out how to have the Golden King switch between using a laser to using water, then I guess they can do that. The reason I feel he should have this ability is because I believe his trident can shoot gold energy beams that can blast through Gold LEGO objects. Though since this is basically a guess on what abilities he might have, it's up to the creators to decide wether or not they want to give him this ability. If they do give him this ability along with Underwater Swimming, then players wouldn't have to rely on Superman or Cyborg.
-Magic
Not sure how magical the Golden King's Trident is when it has all 5 of it's gems, but if it's as magical as himself, maybe it can access highlighted LEGO objects with blue stars. Though since this is basically a guess on what abilities he might have, it's up to the creators to decide wether or not they want to give him this ability. If they do give him this ability, then players wouldn't have to rely on Gandalf or the Wicked Witch.
-Super Strength
Since he's a magical statue, I feel he should be strong enough to break through Cracked LEGO Walls.
-Underwater Swimming
Since he originated from Atlantis and he is a magical statue (therefore doesn't breathe), he must be capable of swimming underwater. I can't imagine the Golden King not having this ability...
-Water Spray
If Naida can't be included into the game or if she can't dive underwater, then I strongly hope they give the Golden King this ability. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Aquaman (since he's the only character that can use this ability underwater).
Vehicle: ???
I have no idea what this guy's vehicle should be. Mainly because he didn't have one. His only set was 7985 City of Atlantis, but the only 2 things it had that was vehicle related was The Artimus & a Crustacean Monster...
Neither of which belong to the Golden King... Though perhaps the creators of this game could think of something for the Golden King.
Name: Majisto
This suggestion is incase the creators can't use Ann Lee, AntiMatter, Cassiopeia, Clouse, The Golden King, or Skylor &/or give any of them the Magic Ability. Considering this character is a wizard, he MUST have the Magic Ability if he's included into this game.
Theme: Dragon Masters
Weapons/Items:
(On Figure)
-Magic Scroll
(Both On Figure & In Game)
-Wand
(In Game)
-Majisto's Pet Parrot
Abilities:
-Drone
Majisto has a gray parrot as a pet. You see it in most of the sets Majisto is in. As such, I feel his pet parrot should be “his drone”. Unless the drone can't be something alive... I just feel this would work because this is what some of the characters in the LEGO Harry Potter video games used their pets for when they have to deal with Pipe Mazes.
If it can work, then players wouldn't have to rely on Doc Brown or Cyberman if they give Majisto this ability.
-Illumination
Majisto's wand is a glow-in-the-dark wand. As such, I feel he should have this ability.
-Magic
Because Majisto is a wizard. As such, he should have access to magic. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Gandalf or the Wicked Witch.
-Magical Shield
Because Majisto is a wizard. As such, he should have access to magic.
Vehicle: Green Dragon
The reason I feel this should be “his vehicle” is because in some advertisements, Majisto is seen riding this dragon. He was also riding it in Jul-Aug 1995's LEGO Mania Magazine.
Vehicle Abilities:
-“Cargo Hook”
As you can see in the comic of Jul-Aug 1995's LEGO Mania Magazine, the dragon is able to hold things with it's feet. In this case, it's using it's feet to hold King Richard. As such, I feel the dragon should have an ability similar to the Cargo Hook Ability. Except instead of a Cargo Hook, it should use it's feet.
-Flames
This dragon is obviously a fire breathing dragon. So it should have this ability.
-Flight
It has wings and it obviously can use them to fly. So why not?
-Sonar Smash
I have a feeling that this dragon's roar is powerful enough to shatter glass. If it is, then it should have this ability. Kinda like how Laval & Slimer can do it.
-Super Strength
If this dragon is like most dragons in medieval fiction, then it should be strong enough to smash through Cracked LEGO Walls.
Name: Skylor
Theme: Ninjago
Weapons/Items:
(Both On Figure & In Game)
-Skylor's Spear
Originally, I was thinking she could only have her crossbow. But in her fight against Jacob in the episode ''Ninja Roll'', her first weapon was this spear. So I figured that she should have this weapon.
(In Game)
-Crossbow
Abilities:
From what I've seen in the TV show, she basically has the same powers as all the elemental masters who attended Chen's tournament. Especially since near the end of Season 4, she was used to finish the Serpentine ritual because she has copied ALL the elemental powers (except of course water & wind (Lol!)). So, I'll be including abilities I've seen her & the other elemental masters use in Season 4 (unless the elemental master in question has abilities that aren't in the game &/or probably can't be implemented that easily in the game). Perhaps she could have an ability changing feature like Gamer Kid.
-Acrobatics
As seen in her fight against Jacob in the episode “Ninja Roll”, she was able to perform a mid-air cartwheel to dodge Jacob's shurikens. So she should have this ability.
-Electricity
This is one of the abilities Jay has in LEGO Dimensions. So I figured it be fitting for her to have this ability too.
-Growth
Bolobo's element is nature. And with his power, he can make plants grow. Skylor was never seen using Bolobo's powers, but if she has copied his abilities, then she should have this ability.
-High Jump
Not only because every character with Acrobatics has this ability, but in the episode ''Only One Can Remain'', she was able to jump pretty high from one porch to the next one above her.
-Illumination
This is one of the abilities Lloyd has in LEGO Dimensions. So I figured it be fitting for her to have this ability too.
-Invulnerability
Karlof's element is metal. And with his power, he can turn himself metal which makes him invulnerable to attacks. Skylor was never seen using Karlof's powers, but if she has copied his abilities, then she should have this ability. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Gamer Kid, Superman, or Wonder Woman.
-Flight
Gravis' element is gravity. And with his power, he can use it to fly. Skylor hasn't been seen using this ability, but she has been seen using Gravis' powers before in the episode “Ninja Roll”. So she might have this ability too.
-Hazard Protection
Toxikita's element is poison. And since she can create poisonous gasses, I'm sure she's immune to hazardous waste too. If she is AND if Skylor has copied Toxikita's abilities, then Skylor should have this ability. Though since this is basically a guess on what abilities Toxikita might have, it's up to the creators to decide wether or not they want to give Skylor this ability.
-“Magic”
Gravis' element is gravity. And with his power, he can use it to levitate objects or people in the air. Skylor has used this ability before in the episode “Ninja Roll”. It isn't magic, but it should work just the same. Kinda like when Jedi/Sith use the Force in the LEGO Star Wars video games.
That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Gandalf or the Wicked Witch.
-Pole Vault
In the episode “Ninja Roll”, Skylor threw her spear through one of the pots and it stuck onto the support beam. As such, I feel she should be able to use her spear to Pole Vault.
-Sonar Smash
Jacob's element is sound. And with his power, he can generate sound waves powerful enough to shatter glass. Skylor has used this ability before in the episode “Ninja Roll”.
-Stealth
Invizable's element is light. And with his power, he can turn himself invisible. Skylor was never seen using Invizable's powers, but if she has copied his abilities, then she should have this ability.
Even if she hasn't copied Invizable's abilities, she's still pretty sneaky. So she should still have the Stealth ability anyway.
-Super Speed
Turner's element is speed. And with his power, he can run super fast. Skylor was never seen using Turner's powers, but if she has copied his abilities, then she should have this ability. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Gamer Kid.
-Super Strength
This is one of the abilities Cole has in LEGO Dimensions. So I figured it be fitting for her to have this ability too.
-Target
Not only because she's armed with a crossbow, but as seen in the episode “Ninja Roll”, she is a skilled archer. So she should have this ability.
-X-Ray Vision
Neuro's element is mind. And with his power, he can use it to read & control minds. Since X-Ray Vision allows the user to see through X-Ray walls and flip switches with their mind, I figured she should have this ability.
Vehicle: Rocket Board
Vehicle Abilities:
(TBD)
---OTHER CHARACTERS---
These characters don't have the Grapple or Magic abilities, but they do have other abilities that only the playable third party characters have. If these characters &/or their vehicles were also made playable, then players wouldn't have to rely on ANY third party characters.
Name: Ann Droid
This suggestion is mainly incase they can't give Becky the Underwater Swimming ability for some reason or (if they can give her that ability) can't give her the Hacking or Technology abilities. If they can't give the last two abilities to Becky & Underwater Swimming to go with it, then Ann Droid should be able to handle that problem. Considering how advanced she is, I'm sure she's waterproof and has hacking/technological capabilities. It would explain why Spyrius wants her so badly, especially since they have their own robots.
Theme: Exploriens
Weapons/Items:
(Both On Figure & In Game)
-Explorien Droid Blaster
The reason I gave her this weapon is because she was equipped with this in the Exploriens set 1858 Droid Scout.
Abilities:
-Hacking
Considering Spyrius wants her so badly and she's been with the Exploriens for several hundred light-years, I feel she's programmed to be able to hack. I mean if she wasn't that advanced, then why would Spyrius want her when they have their own robots? Right? That way (if they give her the Underwater Swimming ability), players wouldn't have to rely on Cyberman or Cyborg.
-Relic Detection
Considering that Ann Droid was programmed by Nova Hunter to be a “one-of-a-kind alien finder”, I'm sure she's advanced enough to spot hidden objects easily. As such, I feel she should have the Relic Detection ability.
-Target
Because she is equipped with a Blaster. And she's probably programmed to know how to use it.
-Technology
Considering Spyrius wants her so badly, she's been with the Exploriens for several hundred light-years, and Exploriens is a sci-fi theme, I feel she's advanced enough to be able to use Technological panels. I mean if she wasn't that advanced, then why would Spyrius want her when they have their own robots? Right? That way (if they give her the Underwater Swimming ability), players wouldn't have to rely on Cyberman or Cyborg.
-Tracking
Considering that Ann Droid was programmed by Nova Hunter to be a “one-of-a-kind alien finder”, I'm sure she's advanced enough to follow trails easily. As such, I feel she should have the Tracking ability. That way (if they give her the Underwater Swimming ability), players wouldn't have to rely on Scooby-Doo.
-Underwater Swimming
Since she is able to put sunscreen over her head without damaging her circuits, I'm sure she is waterproof. And since she's a robot, I doubt she needs to breathe. As such, I feel she should have the Underwater Swimming ability.
Vehicle: Explorien Starship
The reason I chose this vehicle for Ann Droid is because in Nov-Dec 1996's LEGO Mania Magazine, she was piloting this vehicle when she was delivering presents to the Exploriens.
Vehicle Abilities:
-Flight
Since it is a starship, it should be capable of flying. It has been seen flying in space on both it's box set cover and in both Jan-Feb 1996's & Nov-Dec 1996's LEGO Mania Magazines.
-Flight Dock
As a flying vehicle, I'm sure it is capable of doing this.
-Laser
According to Jan-Feb 1996's LEGO Mania Magazine, the Explorien Starship is armed with a telescopic laser cannon. And since it's a “moveable” telescopic laser cannon, I feel this vehicle should have the ability to blast through Gold LEGO objects & melt ice AND have the ability to aim the laser's line of fire (like with Bad Cop).
-Relic Detection
According to Jan-Feb 1996's LEGO Mania Magazine, the Explorien Starship comes with “everything you need for finding aliens”. As such, I feel this vehicle should have the Relic Detection ability.
-Tracking
According to Jan-Feb 1996's LEGO Mania Magazine, the Explorien Starship comes with “everything you need for finding aliens”. As such, I feel this vehicle should have the Tracking ability.
Name: Becky Blastinoff
Theme: Launch Command
Weapons/Items:
(Both On Figure & In Game)
-Launch Command Scanner (In game, it only appears when using Relic Detection Ability)
(In Game)
-Wrench (When Using Fix-It Ability)
Abilities:
-Fix-It
In Mar-Apr 1995's LEGO Mania Magazine, she along with another astronaut went out and repaired a satellite Jailbreak Joe gummed up. As such, I feel she should have the ability to repair.
-Hacking
Considering astronauts need to be good with technology, I'm sure she's smart enough to be able to hack. If they give her the Underwater Swimming Ability, then this would be good so that players wouldn't have to rely on Cyberman or Cyborg.
-Hazard Protection
Considering a spacesuit is suppose to protect the astronaut from radiation or other dangerous “spacely” hazards, I feel she should have hazard protection.
-Master Build
I can completely understand if the creators don't want to give her this ability. But the reason I'm suggesting she'd have this ability is because in Nov-Dec 1995's LEGO Mania Magazine, she along with Captain Redbeard, Jock Clouseau, & King Richard worked together to build a sled by combining their vehicles to get them out of the cave the avalanche trapped them in. So I kinda feel she should have this ability. But that's entirely up to the creators.
-Relic Detection
Considering one of her gadgets is a scanner, I feel she should have this ability.
-Technology
Since she's an astronaut and you'd have to be pretty smart to be one, I feel she should have the ability to interact with technology panels. If that doesn't convince the creators, she knows how to operate the Canadian Arm to deploy a communications satellite. And she had the knowhow to repair said satellite. If they give her the Underwater Swimming Ability, then this would be good so that players wouldn't have to rely on Cyberman or Cyborg.
-Underwater Swimming
When it comes to space, they say it feels like being underwater. Which is why they give astronauts tests in large pools of water at NASA. Since astronauts can use their spacesuits underwater, I feel Becky should have the ability to swim underwater. That way (if she is given the Hacking & Technology abilities), players wouldn't have to rely on Cyberman or Cyborg.
Vehicle: Moon Walker
The reason I picked this vehicle for Becky instead of a space shuttle is because according to her info on Nov-Dec 1995's LEGO Mania Magazine, her favorite vehicle is a “Moon Dune Buggy”. So, I figured the Moon Walker would be better.
For either it's 2nd or 3rd rebuild, I would like one of those rebuilds to be a Launch Command Arcade Cabinet.
The reason for that is because also according to her info from the same source (Nov-Dec 1995's LEGO Mania Magazine), she is a champion “grabber” game player at the video arcade. That way, the player wouldn't have to rely on Gamer Kid's Arcade Machine once they have enough studs & gold bricks for the Launch Command Arcade Cabinet.
Vehicle Abilities:
-Accelerator Switches
Considering it's a land vehicle on wheels, I feel it should have this ability.
-Arcade Dock (Rebuild 2 or 3)
As I said, I would like it if the Moon Walker's second or third rebuild was a Launch Command Arcade Cabinet considering Becky is good at gaming. If they do include that as one of it's rebuilds (and I REALLY hope they would considering that's the biggest reason Becky is in this list), it should have the ability to Arcade Dock. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Gamer Kid's Arcade Machine.
If the creators are gonna create new levels with LEGO Original Arcade Docks and want some ideas on what LEGO original games to put on, I feel they should put console variations of some of the games that are/were playable on the LEGO website as well as LEGO games that were ported to a Game Boy console.
Name: Dr. Cyber
Theme: Time Cruisers
Weapons/Items:
(In Game)
-Wrench (When Using Fix-It Ability)
Abilities:
-Fix-It
Considering he invented time travel and he was once a rocket scientist for NASA (according to Jul-Aug 1996's LEGO Mania Magazine), I think Dr. Cyber has the knowhow to repair.
-Hacking
As mentioned before, Dr. Cyber was a rocket scientist and invented time travel. As such, I feel he should have the ability to hack.
-Master Build
Just like with Becky, I can completely understand if the creators don't want to give him this ability. But the reason I'm suggesting he'd have this ability is because in Nov-Dec 1996's LEGO Mania Magazine, he along with the LEGO Maniac, Thresher, & Sheriff ''Wild'' Wyatt West worked together to repair & improve Ann Droid's Explorien Starship so that they can retrieve the presents lost in space. That, and his inventions look like they were put together by a Master Builder (considering they're using pieces from different times as mentioned in Jul-Aug 1996's LEGO Mania Magazine).
So I kinda feel he should have this ability. But that's entirely up to the creators.
-“TARDIS Access”
Just like with the Doctor in the TARDIS, Dr. Cyber should be able to access the Time Lab Shed's functions in it's interior.
-Technology
As mentioned before, Dr. Cyber was a rocket scientist and invented time travel. As such, I feel he should be able to interact with technology panels.
Vehicle: Time Lab Shed
And here I thought I wasn't gonna be able to find a suitable LEGO original substitute for the Doctor's TARDIS. It ain't exactly like the TARDIS, but they both travel between space & time. ^_^ If the player accesses it's interior just like with the TARDIS, it should take the player to the Mystic Mountain Time Lab.
Vehicle Abilities:
-Flight
As you can no doubt tell from the flames underneath the shed, this shed is able to fly.
-“TARDIS Travel”
Considering this is a time traveling shed (according to Jul-Aug 1996's LEGO Mania Magazine) and the minikit version would probably be about the same size as the minikit version of the TARDIS, I feel this vehicle should have the ability to access TARDIS Pads. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on the Doctor's TARDIS.
Name: Firox
Theme: Power Miners
Weapons/Items:
(On Figure)
-Orange Crystal
(In Game)
-Green/Red/Dark Blue/Neon Green Crystal (When Using Sonar Smash Ability)
Abilities:
-“Chi”
Similar to how the Legends of Chima characters use this ability, I feel Firox should have something similar. Except instead of collecting CHI, it should collect Orange Crystals from defeated enemies.
-Hazard Protection
Considering Firox is a Rock Monster, it probably has immunity to hazardous waste. Especially since in one of the Power Miners videos, a Firox accidentally ate 4 sticks of dynamite and lived. So perhaps it should have this ability.
-Invulnerability (When Using “Chi” Ability)
Since I think Rock Monsters are immune to damage when they power up, I feel Firox should have this ability during it's “Chi” Ability. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Gamer Kid, Superman, or Wonder Woman.
-Mini Access
Since these Rock Monsters are shorter than the average minifig, they should be able to access hatches. As such, Firox should have this ability. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Bart, Gimli, Gollum, or Slimer.
-Sonar Smash
In one of the online Power Miners videos, when a rock monster eats the wrong colored crystal, they burp uncontrollably really loud, then end up farting. Since it was a Firox in the video, I feel it should have this ability (kinda like how Homer Simpson uses it in the game).
-Speed (When Using “Chi” Ability)
According to Firox's bio from the Power Miners website, they are the fastest of all the monsters.
Heck, in one of the online Power Miners videos, a Firox was able to outrun 2 Power Miners, even when they chased it on a motorbike! As such, I feel it should have this ability during it's “Chi” Ability. That way, player's wouldn't have to rely on Gamer Kid.
-Stealth
According to Firox's bio from the Power Miners website, they are very sneaky by nature. Considering all the trouble the info says it caused, I'm sure they'd have to be pretty sneaky to pull them off.
Heck, in one of the online Power Miners videos, a Firox was able to sneak past a group of Power Miners to eat a bin full of crystals! As such, I feel it should have this ability.
-Super Strength (When Using “Chi” Ability)
From what I see in the Power Miners videos, Rock Monsters are pretty strong when they power up. Probably strong enough to break through Cracked LEGO Walls. In one of the Power Miners videos, a Firox was strong enough to help the other Rock Monsters break off the drill of the Thunder Driller after it powered up. As such, I feel it should have this ability during it's “Chi” Ability.
Vehicle: Rock
Technically, this is not a vehicle. It's just an ordinary rock. I picked this for Firox's “vehicle” not only because Firox is a creature, but also so that I can use a LEGO original counterpart to Chell's Companion Cube. However, maybe it's 3rd rebuild could be the Crystal King.
I'll let the creators of this game figure that out. As long as the first build can substitute for the Companion Cube Switch Ability.
-Weight Switch
Since this Rock is like an ordinary object like the Companion Cube, I feel it should have this ability. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Chell's Companion Cube.
Name: Ghost
Originally, I was planning on having Morro from Ninjago be the LEGO original ghost character. Mainly because in the Legends of Chima Adventure World, there is an area that requires Slimer to obtain a Gold Brick because Slimer can go through Ghost Swarms. However, from what I was able to see through the swarm, there's Sonar Glass on the other side of that swarm. So not only do I need a character that can pass through Ghost Swarms, but I also need a character that can do that AND has a Sonar Smash Ability. At first, I was gonna go for Bansha. But then I figured out that the ghosts in Ninjago are weakened to water... So that wouldn't work.
In the end, after I saw that this character's special attack is a “Ghostly Wail”, I decided to include a Ghost from Monster Fighters into this list. The only weaknesses listed in their bio are vacuums & being ignored. So I'm sure they aren't weakened to water like the ghosts from Ninjago.
Theme: Monster Fighters
Weapons/Items:
(None)
It don't look like they use weapons...
Abilities:
-Flight
According to their bio, one of their powers is flying. They were even seen flying on the cover of their set (9467 The Ghost Train) and in “The Monsterland Tales”. So it should have this ability.
-Ghost Swarm Immunity
This ability isn't listed in the LEGO Dimensions wikia. But Slimer is the only one that has this ability. With it, it allows Slimer to pass through Ghost Swarms without fleeing. Which is mostly useful for areas that Peter Venkman can't catch ghosts (like underwater). Since these Ghosts are... well... ...ghost, the Ghost should have this ability too. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Slimer.
-Illumination
The Ghost minifigs are glow-in-the-dark. As such, I feel the Ghost should have this ability.
-Silver LEGO Blowup
According to the game “The Monsterland Tales”, one of the Ghosts' attacks is an “Ectoplasm Blast”. Not sure how powerful it is, nor have I seen this ability in action, but I predict that it might be powerful enough to blast Silver LEGOs. As such, I feel it should have this ability. Though since this is basically a guess on how powerful the Ectoplasm Blast is, it's up to the creators to decide wether or not they want to give the Ghost this ability. If they do give it this ability, then players wouldn't have to rely on Cyberman. Especially if they give it Underwater Swimming.
-Sonar Smash
From reading their bio on the LEGO Monster Fighters website, their special attack is the “Ghostly Wail”. As such, I feel this Ghost should have the Sonar Smash Ability.
-Underwater Swimming
If these Ghosts are like most ghosts in works of fiction, then they should be able to swim underwater. As they don't need to breathe. If they give this Ghost that ability, then players wouldn't have to rely on Slimer's underwater Ghost Swarm immunity.
Vehicle: The Ghost Train
Vehicle Abilities:
-Flight
As you can see on the cover of it's set (9467 The Ghost Train), in “The Monsterland Tales”, and in Jul-Aug 2012's LEGO Club Magazine, it is seen flying. As such, I feel it should have this ability.
Name: Ha-Ya-To (Deep Jungle)
Theme: Exo-Force
Weapons/Items:
None
From what I've seen of Ha-Ya-To's combat capabilities outside of his mech, I think he'll be fine without a weapon/item. The creators can give him one if they feel like they have to.
Abilities:
I wasn't able to get much on Ha-Ya-To in the comics. Of course that's not his fault. Unlike the other main Exo-Force pilots, Ha-Ya-To had the fewest appearances. Hitomi did too, but she was a new character that was introduced in the Golden City theme, so she doesn't count. As such, the creators might want to give him a few extra abilities. Until then, here's what I think he should have.
-Acrobatics
Considering he fights in hand to hand combat and was able to do a mid-air kick in one of the comics he was in, I think he should have the Acrobatics ability. Though since this is basically a guess on what abilities he might have, it's up to the creators to decide wether or not they want to give him this ability.
-Hacking
In the Exo-Force online game “Deep Jungle!”, ALL characters were able to reprogram enemy mini-robots to support them in battle. Not sure if that's possible in the Exo-Force comic series, but since the comic series got cancelled by leaving a BIG gap in the story, there isn't much to go on from the comics. So since every character in the game can reprogram mini-robots, I feel he should have this ability. Though since this is basically a guess on what abilities he might have, it's up to the creators to decide wether or not they want to give him this ability.
-High Jump
Because every character with Acrobatics has this ability.
-Technology
If Ha-Ya-To is able to hack, he probably also has the ability to use Technological panels. Then again, the mechs they pilot are highly advanced and probably highly complicated for an untrained pilot to use. So perhaps he should have this ability. Though since this is basically a guess on what abilities he might have, it's up to the creators to decide wether or not they want to give him this ability.
Vehicle: River Dragon
Now here's an interesting story about this vehicle. In fact, this is the main reason Ha-Ya-To is in this list. When I was looking around for characters/vehicles to include into this list, one of the main things I was looking for was someone/something armed with a laser in the air (like Superman) &/or in the sea (like Cyborg & Superman). In the end, I found the River Dragon that can do both! This is basically a vehicle version of Superman, except without the Freeze Breath & Invulnerability and has a drone, silver LEGO blowup, & stealth capabilities. Originally for the air part, I was just gonna do a Special Forces Devastator's Sonic Phantom & a Space Police Commando. And for the drone part, I was gonna have Terabyte's Mech be the only one who's drone is technological. But thanks to the River Dragon's capabilities, there's no need for either of the three. I just decided to remove the Special Forces Devastator from this part of the list however. Let's just hope that (if the creators decide to include this vehicle & character) that they will give his vehicle the abilities I strongly feel it should have.
Vehicle Abilities:
-Drone
Like all vehicles in the Deep Jungle theme of Exo-Force, they are equipped with a mini-robot. As such, I feel it should have this ability. If the mech can't do it, Ha-Ya-To should definitely have this ability. That way, players wouldn't have to rely on Doc Brown or Cyberman.
Now obviously, if the drone was the same size as the original, I'm sure it wouldn't be small enough to be able to access drone access tubes. However, since all playable vehicles are minikit sized, the drone should be small enough to fit. And if the creators are worried about accuracy, then Doc Brown's drone wouldn't be a minaturized RC car of his DeLorean time machine, because he never had one...
-Flight
One of the River Dragon's features is flight. In fact, in it's only Exo-Force comic appearance, it's never seen on the ground even though it has legs. As such, it should have this ability.
-Laser
One of the River Dragon's features is that it is equipped with a Laser Cannon. As such, it should have this ability. That way, if they give it the Underwater Swimming ability, players wouldn't have to rely on Superman or Cyborg.
And since the arms can move in different directions, the player should have the ability to aim the laser's line of fire (like with Bad Cop).
-Silver LEGO Blowup
One of the River Dragon's features is that it is equipped with a Blaster Handgun. As such, it should have this ability.
-Stealth
One of the River Dragon's features is that it is equipped with a Radar Cloaking Device. As such, it should have this ability. That way when it comes to flying vehicles, players wouldn't have to rely on the Doctor's TARDIS.
-Super Strength
Most mechs in the game have this ability.
-Target
Since the River Dragon is armed with a Blaster Handgun, I'm sure it has aiming capabilities.
-Underwater Swimming
One of the River Dragon's features is that it is able to operate underwater. As such, it should have this ability.
PART 2 >
