Lucent is a very weird little colt and he's very aware of it. Due to a mixup of politics, potions, and pricks, Lucent and his mother Twilight Sparkle live mostly alone in their castle home in Ponyville. Before he was born, Twilight took a potion assured to give her the "Fertility of a Griffon", and it was very literal when it said that. Lucent was born half alicorn, half griffon, with no signs of his father in the mix. Lucent is a quiet boy though, studious as his mother. Though mostly nocturnal, Lucent doesn't see much of other foals in Ponyville and is almost a legend among his peers for being the "Spectre of Crystal Castle".

Lucent is fond of shiny objects, catnip, studying, Daybreak Shine, and Sugar Swirl. The latter two actually share his home so it'd be something of a shame if he didn't get along with them! He's an omnivore, something that's somewhat off putting to other ponies when he ingests meat or fish.

Fun Fact:
Lucent's griffon half is a mixture of a bird called a "Fairy Wren" and the smallest wildcat currently known, the Rusty-Spotted Cat.
