The farm girl awakens the next day, feeling a bit strange. But she has no time to dwell as the farm needs tending to. As she gets dressed, she notices her clothes are harder to put on. It's probably just the midnight snacks. After a hearty breakfast of apples, the farm girl begins her day, unaware of the changes beginning to take place.

Either she has the observation skills of a rock or the TF is preventing her from realizing she's changing (which could mean either that she isn't noticing the changes or that she doesn't realize the hair/nails/etc IS a change). Like Shark said, we'd have to ask the commissioner at this point.
