When I opened the PM containing this image within, the first words I uttered simply consisted of 'Oh holy shit'. I knew the work they were going to create was going to be utterly gorgeous, but I did not think it would come out this beautiful. The way the energy looks like electricity crackling along the tail and emitting from his hands, as well as the highlighting it is creating on his body plates, face and wings--it creates this wonderfully unique image that tells a wonderful story all on its own.
I commissioned this from a user on FlightRising after they offered to do a commission for me based on what I thought was a fair price and what I was looking for. In turn they came up with this beauty, the only real direction given being that I wanted him to appear as though he was dancing with energy the same way you see some with silks. Gentle, meditative, smooth and flowing with no high energy or exceedingly quick movements. Simplistic and complex all at once.
