It's still kind of a cliche that youths of Indian extraction all want to be doctors and lawyers when they grow up and there are a lot of fine professionals of that ethnicity in Britain. This guy isn't one of them. He's in a band as the lead singer purely because he likes showing off, which is the point of equality - people of all races, faiths and sexualities should have the equal right to be who and whatever they want (laws, personal morals and mores permitting). In this case my take on equality was having a normal, if rather frivolous guy whose family happens to have originated from the Indian subcontinent.
