A little more political than the last piece. Actually have had this written for about 2 weeks now but was lazy when it came to editing. Finally got it through a couple drafts so up it goes. Again, any and all comments are very welcome.

Sorry I’m so late in commenting but that’s just from being so far behind.
As for being political, my two cents is that too few stories really explore the bigger picture aspect that political give and take add to the tension in a story. This was well a well crafted way to slip in some political tension and at the same time heighten the stakes with the suggestion that the aliens might not take too well to picking over their abandoned ark. Looking forward to seeing more of this one.
