Soarra from my upcoming webcomic The Frost Cycle. No, he's not a griffon, he's a made up species called a Dusker. Duskers are age-immortal (so they don't age past a certain point, but they can be killed) cats with bird or dragon characteristics. The blue feather earring is the religious token of Taskam, their god. Soarra is captain of Myanor's Vanguard of the Dawn, and is known as "The Blazing Son" both in mortal and immortal tongue, despite being disowned by his father, King Darios, hundreds of years ago.
