Just visited the Denver Zoo again, and they have a new baby giraffe (and at 6'2",175 pounds, not only does he almost match me for weight and height, he's a big, big, baby) named Pongo. He was born one week ago on February 15th.

It's not often you find good pictures of giraffe faces, do you mind if I keep this on hand in case I want to draw a giraffe? You almost perfectly captured the profile and the innocence in its eyes.

Thanks much! It was a killer as the giraffe was between my camera and a very intense sun at low angle. Somewhere a photography instructor is smiling...
